Villa Joy was a place of sheer bliss and tranquility for my husband and I, a little taste of paradise! We went to celebrate our anniversary coupled with Eid and found a gem never to be forgotten.
As first time renters abroad we were absolutely delighted with where we had come to stay. From the start the booking process was easy and the link with the owners made it a reassuring process, where all our questions were answered.
The villa itself was amazing, I still miss being there. It was homely, extremely peaceful and full of all the necessary home comforts (utility room- wow!). The swimming pool was fantastic, not deep just right, within a lovely private, walled garden. Ideal for both couples and familes with young children.
Mehmet the manager was a great help and had lovely manners and consideration for us all the time. Ramzan would come every morning and clean the pool. Both were non-intrusive and always most willing to help.
The surrounding villas were at a distance and privacy was still maintained. The neighbours were friendly, when seen, which added to the atmosphere. Most touchingly the local residents were extremely warm and welcoming, whereby we would often be given gifts of different fruits, freshly picked off their trees, as we walked back from the centre of Dalaman.
We managed to enjoy our stay with getting out and about on foot, felt great walking about in the sun. The town centre was about 20-25 minutes walk away, with the large supermarket being on route (10-15 minutes). The high street of Dalaman has many shops and a few eating places (little cafes) jotted around. Dalaman market is every Thursday, fantastic things to buy and a really nice atmosphere. A must is trying the cheese, mince or veg like pancakes- delicious!
On the far end of the high street was the bus station and tourist guide, offering many places to visits, which are 40 minutes to an hours drive away by bus/coach.
Also opposite the bus station was a beautiful mosque, amazing calligraphy inside and most welcoming of everyone.
If you wished to eat out there are many restaurants which offer a pick-up and dro p-off service. Some of the best ones were Botanik, Cinar and Akkaya Gardens.
Overall the villa and surrounding area is perfect for those wanting a taste of ease and relaxation. I would highly recommend this villa to all and cant wait to return soon. Thankyou Stephen and Elaine.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks at Villa Joy,we couldnt of wanted more.Everything ,right down to adapters, were provided.
Our transfer to & from the villa was sorted, even though we were delayed by over an hour & car hire was provided by Mehmet at a very good rate.
The villa is within an hours drive from so many places we didnt get to see them all, but at the same time we had the luxury of peace & quiet sat in the garden by the pool when we wanted to relax.
The market in town is very good & the supermarket has a good selec tion of things. There are also some very good restaurants near by who will pick you up & bring you home free of charge.
An absolutely lovely place to enjoy Turkey.

Villa Joy was a real home from home for our weeks stay. It had every single modern convenience we could think, but in a quiet Turkish town where everyone was very friendly. We loved the pool and the G&Ts in the evening on the terrace using limes picked from one of the 2 trees. We also enjoyed hearing the sound of the odd cow and chicken over the wall, which made you feel miles away from some of the busy resorts along the coast although in fact Fethiye was less than an hours drive.
The beach at Sarigerme was ok if you wanted a resort feel, but we enjoyed Sarsala and Sigla for far quiter experiences. Just be careful with Sarsala as most of the journey is on unmade roads.
You have to visit Akkaya Gardens Restaurant for a meal in a tree!

Villa Joy is very well equipped, private and tranquil. Steve and Elaine have thought of every thing possible to make it home from home. You can even pick fresh lemons for your G&T.
Excellent appliances, large supermarket ten minutes flat walk, nearest restaurant (Cinar) ten minute walk . Dalaman Central 20 minutes walk from villa where there are taxis, dolmus and coaches (Fethiye every 30 minutes cost 8TL per person air conditioned coach, approx one hour travelling). Would appeal to anyone wanting the real Turkey. Loved it.

We had an excellent two week holiday in this beautiful, spacious and well equiped villa - not having to bring beach towels what a relief - helps with the miserly baggage allowance!
The villa has an ideal pool that has plenty of natural shading which ensured a pleasant temperature even in the heat of the midday sun. The terrace provides a great place for dining and the bar-be-que is a nice touch.
The managment staff were exceptionally helpful but not intrusive.
We thought the location of the villa was ideal for touring the various towns and beaches along this stretch of coast line, however we were just as content to laze around the pool listening to the occasional sounds of a farm animal or two!

We are a Turkish/English family who come to Dalaman every year to see family. We have stayed in many villas in the Dalaman area and Villa Joy is among the best. This extremely spacious villa is very conveniently located for Dalaman town and excellently equipped-no need to bring beach towels, plug adaptors, iron or hairdryer. It has a great stock of cds and dvds for the hottest times of the day. The pool area is lovely and the large covered terrace is great for eating or just playing one of the many games also provided.
The management is of a high standard and includes a laundry service and mid period cleaning if you require it. The laundry room means you can bring all your clothes home clean!
There were six of us staying in the villa and we didnt get in each others way at all. There is even a sofa bed to sleep another two should you require it and a wooden screen for privacy. The sitting room is large enough that even this wouldnt cramp your style.
I would highly recommend Villa Joy to any family visiting this area.

We spent a very relaxing week in Villa Joy. It is a delightful villa, very well equiped indeed with everything you could possibly need, and more - from cook books to a dictionary, pegs and a washing line etc etc, although perhaps I didnt need the bathroom scales! Memhet, who looks after the property, was very helpful: he picked us up, arranged a hire car, and popped round during the week to see if all was OK.
A car is nice to have to visit some of the unspolit beaches nearby, but one could easily stay put by the pool. All in all - a high quality, very well equiped and maintained villa.

My husband and I recently returned from a week at Villa Joy. I cannot disclose the reason we needed a trnaquil location, but lets just say we found a little piece of Paradise. Both of us are well travelled, stayed in Hostels, huts on the beach and 5 star in Beverley Hills LA so have insight into ALL standards of accommodation. This Villa is spacious and beautifully decorated, NOTHING has been forgotten! There is a torch, scissors, pegs and even towels. The Laundry room (which i personally loved!) was well equipped, an ironing board, washing machine, spare bedding..kitchen well equipped, again nothing forgotten. The Pool area is well served with loungers, Parasols and is a lovely area to relax, IF of course you can drag yourself away from the lovely terrace! The Main bedroom has a beatiful large En Suite, with a corner Jacuzzi bath, but the shower is equally as nice, all high quality fitments.
The Owners are really helpful and extremely kind. t
The holiday was easily booked. We were met at the Airport (paid for transfers), Mehmet, (the gentleman who manages the Villa) was waiting for us on arrival at the Villa, and was so kind and helpful yet non intrusive, (can text any queries and will get back to you as soon as it is possible). Trevor, the pool man, from Hull, was also a pleasure. There is only one Villa next to Villa Joy, the Owners live there and are just lovely...helpful and naturally full of local information but due to the lay out of the Villa, you wouldnt know there was a Villa next to you! The view to the rear is unspoilt...it really is bliss! a 20 minute walk brings you into the town which is really unspolit...The Market on a Thursday was fantastic, the fresh fruit and vegetables abound.. A very friendly area, not touristy at all. My husband and i didnt sightsee but plan to return again and perhaps, drag ourselves away from the Villa to see some of the beauty hotspots... no promises though! When they tell you Dalaman Airport is the most expensive in the world...it is! £4 almost for a coffee!! Prepare yourself!
Hope this is of some help for those who want a Villa of Quality, in a quiet location that delivers all that it says....look no further. I hope that all that stay enjoy, and take care of this beautiful residence as if it were their own. Thank you to Steve and Elaine...one of the best weeks ever!!
