We had a family reunio n with members of our extended family from England and Iran. We were there just a week ago, and we had the most incredible time at Villa Selim. It was just perfect for what we wanted. It had the most amazing views, we spent most nights sat outside playing games looking at the views! The pool was gorgeous and it was so peaceful and quiet. It is just the right distance from Gundogan where we went on some fantastic and very cheap boat trips! Bodrum is also close enough to go and we went for a great dinner. We all absolutely loved going to the private jetty and spent many days sunbathing there! It really was such an amazing family holiday and we would definitely return. Levent (the owner) was so helpful with any information we needed to know before we went and even when we were there he called us to make sure that we found everything to be ok at the house! I think we may have found our new summer holiday home! A definite 100 out of 100.

This our second time renting Villa Selim. We loved the area so much we are planning on coming here to finally purchase our own home. The owner is very flexible to our needs. The owner has been very flexible in meeting our needs. He arrange a car hire and airport transfer service. The property manager has assisted us with our questions. The villa comes with a free telephone service to contact the property manager or food from the nearby restaurants. The villa has fantastic views of the Aegean Sea. The villa has definitely met our expectations and everything mentioned is accurate, We would definitely recommend it to our friends and we will be reserving this villa again very soon.

Thank you once again for renting your new property. We rented Mr Ileri’s two properties in the same community. At Villa Bahce my parents stayed and, at Villa Maija my friends and I stayed. We loved this new home as both of the homes are very close to the swimming pool. The walking distance between the two villas is about 1 to 2 mins. The ramada bar offers a lot of drinks and food items to choose. We met a number of English and Turkish homeowners. They were all friendly and even asked us to come to their homes for dinner and drinks. The weather was warm and nice, and we had a great time. We enjoyed staying at two villas, as this gave us plenty of space and privacy. We hope to come back to stay at your villas again.

We enjoyed our vacation very much. Bodrum Peninsula is a great place to be. Our kids loved the pool and the private seaside facilities. The Ozanlar Sitesi is really lovely and we thank Mr Levent Ileris property manager for arranging us order some local bread and water on a daily basis. The views from the villa are breathtaking.

Many thanks for a perfect stay at Villa Selim. It is obvious you have put a lot of effort into making this place special. We have stayed in a number of advertised `quality` apartments but found your one to be far the best we have stayed in. Everything you state in your description is correct. We really dont think we could get better value for money. We thought your villa was stunning. We mainly stayed around the main pool in the daytime and went into Gundogan for dinner in the evening. The Turkish people in your community and in Gundogan are so friendly and helpful, to be honest it is not something you get in most resorts. Your new 4th bedroom is wonderful and has fabulous views of the sea, and our kids loved it. I would definitely recommend Villa Selim to anyone who wants a quiet, peaceful, and well-decorated villa. Breathtaking views from deck, patio and windows! Clean, nicely furnished rooms, thick Turkish towels and other extras, excellent cooking facilities. Very quiet, yet within 10 minute drive of village of Gundogan. Could not think of a nicer place get away from all the worlds cares.

Excellent villa with all you could ask for and more . A part of every evening was spent on the terrace enjoying the gorgeous view .
Mr. Levent Ileri sent a wonderful information pack and also sorted the car rental for our stay. A great villa in a lovely part of Turkey and would recommend the villa and villarenters to all our friends.
An optional arrival pack would be useful for guests like us who arrived in the early hours of the morning.

We are very fortunate to work with Levent. He made some of our travel arrangements, including the car hire at a discounted rate. He has a wonderful house with beautiful views of the sea. We rented the property in October 2008, and the weather was calm, warm (not too hot), and were able to enjoy the seaside facilities. Also, the Gas BBQ machine was wonderful to have, and easy to work with compared to dealing with buying coal, burning it and cleaning it. We met a few neighbors in the community, and we hope to come back to stay at Villa Selim next year. Thanks...

What a wonderful holiday we had! Thank you for your help with everything you arranged for us. The temperature was so nice we did not want to use the air conditioners at all. The rental price of your villa compared to others is very reasonable considering all your assistance, all the kitchen items to cook a nice meal, hand made furniture, 100% cotton sheets etc.. We very much enjoyed sitting on the terrace and watched the sailing boats. Thank you.

The villa was in a quiet location, which is what we were looking for. A few inconveniences such as no water for 12 hours, a few power cuts and relentless mosquitos made the stay less than perfect, but still quite pleasant. We took full advantage of the complete kitchen and lovely view from the patio.

Thank you for your feedback. The inconvenience related to water was a result of electric outage in the area. The repair over the weekend took longer than expected, and therefore water was not adequately distributed as all pump engines work on electricity. We are sorry for this inconvenience. We do have mosquito nets all windows and air conditioners in every roonm. The breeze from the sea make it very comfortable to stay in the living room and bedrooms. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the complete kitchen and the lovely view of the sea and the islands from the terrace (patio). Sincerely, Levent.

One of our best vacations overseas ever. Levent has been the greatest asset for carefully organizing our trip, making our car hire arrangements and transfer from the airport to the villa. Levent works with great local people on the Bodrum peninsula who love to help you with any problems we have had. Our camera broke and Levent made arrangements all the way from the USA to have a local electronics guy in Yalikavak to help us. Another example is when Levent made special arrangements with a private sailing boat for three days on the Aegean sea. The bottom line is the price Levent quotes are very reasonable and we recommend staying at his villas (Villa Selim or Villa Bahce) very highly.

Dear Levent: Thank you for allowing us to write a review to share our opinios with other guests about you and your lovely villa. We are from Almaty, Kazakhstan, and intially we were very hesitant to book a villa online as we heard about internet frauds. You have made us so conmfortable throughout the booking process, calling us all the way from Washington, DC to Kazakhstan and you answered all of our questions very patiently and in detail. We would like to share some of our thoughts about your villa. Vila Bache is a wonderful place to rest from mad working days at work and bad mood! It is a really pleasant place located near the Turkish village of Gundogan, that has plenty of restaurants, beaches and pensions. One could taste a fresh-caught fish prepared by local cookers and enjoy a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea. We visited a lot of historical places, and Ephesus was the most interest place we visited. All these ruins are very impressive and worth to see them. We have made friends with a lot of interesting people, including of course, Kathy and even your next door neigbor Peter Forsythe who is a very nice young musician.
We regret that we had no possibility to meet you personnaly, and we hope sometime we will make up for lost time. We would like to thank you for the assistance you provided - especially as for car rental as the company you recommended is a best rental service provider in our opinion.
We definitely would like to come to your villa again and again!

Bodrum and its surrounding area, including Gundowan have been hugely overbuilt, and the hills are a beehive of white 2 or 3 storey holiday apartments. The exceptional feature of the Villa Selim is that it is situated close to the end of a peninula, high up, with a huge boulder separating it from its next neighbor, sheltering a semi-private outdoor patio. It has a lovely covered deck off the kitchen with a spectacular view over a vast bay and islands. It has a very comfortable living room with a fire place. And it has a very nice patio off the floor on which the master bedroom is located. So guests have four delightful places to congregate. The house has modern working appliances, and is very well appointed. The beds are comfortable. And; perhaps best of all, the caretaker is always available for advice, and the owner is the most attentive and thoughtful person. It does take 30 minutes by car or Dolmush to get into Bodrum, but having this magnificicent view with its privacy is a privilege. There is a community swimming pool within walking distance. The sea shore, however is much too far away (below!) to walk to easily. Well, you might be able to walk down to it, but the walk back up would take a mountaineer!

Thank you very much for all of your assistance in helping us plan for an unforgettable vacation at your villa for 7 weeks. Your support prior to and during our stay was invaluable. It made it possible for us to do things that we might not have otherwise attempted, like taking the overnight sleeper car from Ankara to Istanbul. Your renter information packet was very thorough and detailed.
The seven weeks that we spent at Villa Selim will always stand out as some of the best times of our lives. The children loved having the opportunity to choose between the sparkling Aegean and the infinity pool by the house each day. It's hard for Virginians to believe, but it really doesn't rain there during the summer! The villa was very clean and comfortable and all of the attention spent to the decorating and the furniture design showed beautifully. Without a doubt, our favorite part of the villa is the porch where we ate all of our meals al fresco. Your property is a gem and any future renters will certainly enjoy their stay.

What happens all the time when we decide to go for a holiday; you search on the internet, see the place on a web site and the reality is, most of the time, it just nearly the opposite. The holiday you waited for so long becomes a terrible experience. This time, we were WRONG!
When we arrived to Villa Selim, we suddenly realised it will be a fantastic holiday and it was indeed :) We loved it. Seeing it in person and living there was unbelieavable experience.
In the organisation steps, Levent helped us with every single detail in a professional manner, promptly and so kindly. House was full of everything we need and beyond; beautiful view of the Gundogan Bay, islands across to house, a bottle of cold wine welcomed us to the Villa.
Kathy was so sensitive to prepare the house ready for us as soon as possible for us to rest.
We enjoyed every single moment of our holiday.
Therefore, we send a big applause for Levent and Kathy, organising such a wonderful HOME IN GUNDOGAN for their guests. We have been influenced so deeply, so we decided to buy the nextdoors :)
This is definitely the only place we will advise to our friends without hesitation...

Dear Mr. Levent Ileri. We had a great time in Turkey and enjoyed very much staying at Villa Selim. Without your help and the driving directions you have provided from Istanbul to Bodrum, we could not have done this trip all the way from Romania. As you promised, Ms. Kathy reimbursed us the entire refundable deposit to us per our request as we delivered the villa in good order. Also, Ms. Kathy was so kind and in fact she picked us up from the Baia Hotel. Your villa looks exactly as I saw it the first time via internet. All the equipments in the house worked perfectly, we used all of them. We enjoyed very much the atmosphere, the sea, the islands around...Also, we enjoyed a lot the court and the terrace. We also watered the plants and the flowers around for 2 times, it was a pleasure! I will definitely recommend you, your services and your villa to all my friends as your home as I was very happy staying in. Mr. Ileri.. You own one of the best villas in the world. You have spent so much care and effort to create a beautiful place. We loved it. We had a great time at the village, and we thank Mr. Ileri's help at every step before and during our visit. You will not believe me but I purchased a Turkish cook book, and I will be exercising my cooking abilities before Christmas, as I plan on cooking Turkish food that day. We stayed at Villa Selim for one week during June 2007. Overall, this was a dream vacation with the owner, Mr. Levent Ileri, and the property manager, Ms. Kathryn Gilmartion, taking care of every little detail to make us feel comfortable. The villa was in excellent condition with lots of things inside for our convenience. We spent most of our time on the spacious balcony as the view, especially the sunrise and sunset, was marvelous. The price we paid was very reasonable. The views were exceptional, the villa's layout was good and the town was very pleasant with other towns close by to experience. The best thing, Levent was your role in the process. Overall the help you gave us was exceptional, and I very much appreciate the assistance with the airline booking and car rental. The villa was fantastic. You have to see how wonderfully the villas has been furnished. My wife and our toddler, along with two gay friends of ours, felt very comfortable at this villa (even more than so our home in London). Mr. Levent Ileri, the owner of this villas, has been a great help. We have never seen such a great respect and treatment by anyone in our lives. Levent lives in Washington, DC USA, but he has been in touch with us almost once a week prior to our trip, asking our special needs, car hire arrangements, and called us during our stay to make sure that everything is alright, and called us after our stay about our experiences in Turkey. We made a great friend, and we will definitely rent any property from Mr. Levent Ileri. If you have not made your reservation to spend a quality time in Turkey, please hurry, as Levent is the guide. We stayed two days in Istanbul, and Levent provided us information which you cannot find anywhere on the Internet or in travel brochures. Mr. Ileri also made our domestic flight arrangements. Mr. Ileri is very resourceful and very friendly. If Mr. Ileri ever comes to London, we will ask him to spend a weekend with us. Thanks again Mr. Ileri.

We loved Villa Selim. We found this property and the pool area to be excellent and the owners seemed to have thought of everything to make it a home from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa, and found it to be more comfortable than our home in the U.K. The villa is of a very high standard. Peninsula. Villa Selim is beautifully furnished, well equipped and very comfortable and Gundogan is an unspoilt seaside town with good quality family run restaurants. Levent (villa owner) has a beautiful holiday home with views from the balcony that are stunning with fantastic sunrises. We totally relaxed on this holiday, from the balcony we watched the daily traffic on the sea with the local Fishermen and boats going about their daily routines. Our friends joined us for our second week also enjoying the Villa Selim and having a most relaxing holiday. Levent was very attentive and supportive before, during and after our holiday, he furnished us and our friends with information, arranged for car hire and even though he is living in America made sure we had all we needed to have a great holiday. Touring the Bodrum peninsular enabled us to experience Turkey in its glory with sleepy towns, excellent food and friendly people. The holiday was relaxing, peaceful and comfortable and we came home having had a great time!

Villa Selim is the best accommodation I have ever stayed in for the price. It has everything anyone could need, the views from all the windows are wonderful, and the peace and quiet guarantee a restful holiday. The local restaurants are excellent, though hiring a car would be recommended to really explore the Bodrum Peninsula and its gorgeous beaches. Boat trips are a must! I would recommend this villa to anyone.

What a wonderful visit I had to the Bodrum Peninsula!! Villa Selim and Gundogan are absolutely just what I had in mind for my holiday -- Levent & Lee have prepared a beautiful home for visitors to enjoy. The views of the Aegean are breathtaking -- I actually got up for more sunrises than I've probably seen in the last 10 years! And swimming in the sea or lounging by the pool were 2 very fun daily activities. Bodrum was fun as well -- but getting back to the coziness of the Villa was always the highlight of my day. It is so peaceful and comfortable -- just exactly what you need on a vacation. So get ready for an awesome Turkish experience -- you'll love your visit I'm sure. I can't wait to go back!

Villa Selim is by far the most modern and luxurious we have ever stayed in. It has been furnished and decorated to the highest standard and has the most panoramic views imaginable. Villa Selim has exceeded all of our expectations, the house is large and well-equipped and the air-conditioning in the bedrooms is a real A+ bonus. The pool and gardens are just lovely. The owner, Mr. Ileri, has been very helpful to us, and he even called us from the USA to determine our needs as one of my sons is a diabetic. Mr. Ileri has located the stores where we can get his special food and medication. The villa is in pristine condition and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends. We hope to come and stay at your villa next year. This was our first happiest and the most enjoyable summer vacation. Thank you for all the suggestions and help you provided.

Our stay in your villa was wonderful. Bodrum inhabitants have preserved nature. Houses and villa are built without disfiguring the landscapes. Bodrum is as charming as our famous French Saint Tropez on the French Riviera and nights are full of life with bars and discotheques. We appreciate the peace and quiet in Gundogan (only at half an hour from Bodrum with a car. The bay is the most beautiful of the Bodrum peninsula with a lovely footpath snaking between villas.
The villa Selim is very comfortable, all is functional, and all is clean. You feel as at home, with every modern convenience (air conditioning in each room, modern kitchen, and the satellite TV to watch our favorite shows in French). We slept deep and woke up by the fisher boats noise. The view from the terrace on the rabbit island is superb, we had wonderful sunsets. We have spent a wonderful time in Villa Selim. It was better than what we thought before leaving France. Corinne, Cleo, Alix and I fell in love with this place. Our daughters loved the pool and it was a "rendez vous" every evening after the sea. Every morning we enjoyed the vue on Rabbit Island from our terrasse. We also enjoyed daily boat trip you recommended, just Excellent!
The property manager, Murat, was always caring about us, asking every time if we need something. He is a very good person. We plan to go back there next year so we'll keep in touch. Please provide my number to anyone in France for reference.

Villa Selim has exceeded any expectations we could possibly have had. It was immaculately clean, the decor was very modern. Everything you could possibly wish for was in with the price including washing machine which meant we only had to take one weeks clothing for a fortnight which we washed as we needed saving having to take cases and cases. Air conditioning in every room was a welcome luxury all in with the price. The swimming pool looking over the Rabbit Island on the Aegean Sea was very clean and safe. We would not hesitate to go again, in fact we are thinking of booking for next year before everyone else beats us to it. We would give this villa and service a five star rating without any hesitation. Made this one of the best holidays we have had. A huge thank you.

Dear Mr. Ileri, Thank you for all of your help. My husband and I quite enjoyed ourselves. Even though you live in the USA, you were always in touch with almost every other day. We are very thankful for that, and all the help you and the property manager provided to us. The villa was what we had envisaged, and it was very well furnished with a nice touch. We found the villa very clean and well put together. I loved the quality of your bed linens, towels, and all the accessosires the villa had. People in the town of Gundogan are very friendly. We met many local Turkish people, and learned a few words. We hope to remember them for our next trip. When combined with the remarkable exchange rate of GBP into YTL, we felt like we were really rich. We had great food at the local restaurants, and we ordered local Turkish food as you explained, and the people are very timely and the taste of the food is very delicious. I wish I could live there. It's hard to think of a better and more relaxed place for a family holiday. The pool was a nice stopping off point for the walk home. The area has very nice beaches with good access to the sea without a significant amount of people. We expecially enjoyed the terrace in the morning.

Absolutely stunning views from Villa Selim. Great value for money, fantastic amenities. My children really enjoyed this holiday, could not get them to leave the amazing pool overlooking the Aegean Sea. Both the owner in the USA and the property manager in Turkey could not have been more helpful. My family and I 100% recommend Villa Selim to anyone. I already made arrangemet to stay there in August for two weeks.

Villa Selim is located very strategically where everything is in close promixity. Villa Selim has met all the needs of my family (husband and 3 kids) and I. The layout of the property was fantastic and the facilities provided by the owners were excellent. The views from the 2 terraces where breathtaking, looking out over the bay of Gundogan was a wonderful way to start and end each day. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing enjoyable holiday.

The villa is perfectly situated to allow privacy from neighbors and gorgeous views. All the bedrooms are comfortable and well put together. Best of all is the huge outdoor terrace. We spent a lot of relating evenings outdoors. Gundogan village and Yalikavak village are quiet and maintain the charm of Turkish tradition. I strongly recommend men visit a local Barber for a shave - it's unforgettable! And finally – Levent (the owner of the property) is very kind and helpful. He took care about us during our vacation and helped us with many logistics. I think this property, Villa Selim, is one of the best ways to spend a holiday on the Bodrum peninsula!

The property is in a beautiful position, with a terrific view from the patio. We really enjoyed the sunrise every morning, and the share of cool afternoon. The villa itself was very well equipped (the best we've ever experienced) and very comfortable. We also appreciated the care of the owners beforehand and after. They were keen to ensure that we had a good holiday and were extremely helpful in giving guidance and advice about the villa and surroundings, including car hire and local contact information, before we went to Turkey. The owner sent us an information resource package with all the necessary information we needed, and a DVD. The DVD was created very professionally. While we were at the Villa, we were provided professional guidance by the property manager, Murat, who speaks excellent English and Turkish. Over all we had a wonderful holiday, and have already recommended the villa and the Villarenters’ service to many friends.

I would say that this villa exceeded our expectations! Luxuriously furnished, in very comfortable surroundings. VERY close to the lovely beach in the village of Gundogan. Villa Selim was kept clean with maid service every other day - clean sheets, towels etc. This is our piece of heaven on earth and would definitely go again!.
