Good value for money house on three levels on the outskirts of a large development. Use of pristine Olympic size swimming pool with bar / cafe facility. Site is quite hilly but is really quiet and relaxing. Most of the residents are Turkish, so a nice friendly atmosphere.
Fantastic views from the house over the sea. Very clean and tidy. Lovely outdoor eating area on the top patio with pergola providing shade and a lower deck for sun bathing.
There are cheap minibuses to the local towns and Bodrum but we would recommend renting a car whilst you are there. The owners can help arrange this for you.
The owners own the property next door and were there when we visited. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Definitely recommended.

Gentle Breeze Villa was a delightful ‘discovery’, as hours of internet surfing had previously failed to find a property that met our family’s diverse needs. At 300-350 GBP per week, the property is excellent value for money as its situation provides an uninterrupted, million-dollar view across five bays, a fantastic swimming bay at the bottom of the cliff, (with jetty/steps from the walkway into the sea), and a magnificent, clean and well-kept pool (with a pool-side bar) – both of which provide diverse opportunities to entertain the family for hours every day.
We found our car-hire to be absolutely essential, as we like the convenience of going to the beach, pool or town quickly and easily at any time, and for visiting the sight-seeing attractions, markets and water parks from Bodrum to Ephesus. There are steps down from the gravel car park closest to the villa, so suitcases & shopping etc all need to be carried (rather than wheeled).
The villa itself is very compact, but immaculately clean and well-maintained, and John and Hilal, who live in the semi-detached villa next door, are friendly, obliging landlords, who are very quick to offer any help or support requested. The large terrace outside is a really great asset to the property and there is room for everyone to enjoy sun-bathing on the comfortable sun-beds, while eating delicious fresh plums from the tree that overhangs the garden (– as invited by the friendly neighbour who owns it)! For those who want to use their holiday to get fit, a steep road-walk up from the beach or up to the pool provide good opportunity for daily exercise. As it was delightful to sleep with all the windows wide open, (one can hear the waves of the sea below), we bought two floor-standing fans for the bedrooms, which we donated to the villa, to provide a comfortable movement of the warm air at night.
While the villa has beds for sleeping up to six people, our family of four found the living space quite compact but this was not really an issue, as the weather was brilliant every day for the whole month and we were outside most of the time. There is only comfy seating for three people in the living-room, and a maximum of two people can be in the compact kitchen at any one time. The satellite TV system was new, so it did not yet function adequately (– we watched our own DVDs instead), and the dish-washer left the dishes clean but cloudy.
Onurkent is a really nice, friendly and orderly community. We found the residents to be pleasant, welcoming people and we liked it there so much, that we spent quite some time looking at the possibility of buying a holiday property there for ourselves.
Overall, this was one of the best holidays we have ever had in self-catering accommodation. One cannot over-emphasise, the delightful peace and tranquillity gained from sitting on the dining balcony of this villa anytime from sunrise to well after sunset, enjoying the relaxation of a cool drink, the magnificent and tireless view and the warm and gentle breeze.
We would recommend it to anyone!

For long time we have never had such a wonderful holiday. This place is like home and Hilal and John are very calm and cheerful people. They are very welcoming and kind. For the landscape, only thing to say is fabulous! The see lies underneath like a blanket and the view is open without any disturbing facility. For a family it is a safe and private place. The house is very clean and comfortable especially the bathrooms and kitchen:) Sometimes it is hard to find such a clean rental house. You can easily go for sightseeing if you have a car and if you want to have sun bath or swim this is the place...
