What a stunning view from the decking! Lovely secluded lodge at the bottom of a large property. A great recluse for a peaceful weekend, the walk to the beach is a little scary - down a single track road - But absolutely worth it!! Lovely surroundings and the Sloop Inn is a GREAT place to eat and drink. Perfect weekend away, thank you.

Sunset Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. The view is stunning and the little touches in the lodge make it all the more perfect. It is a peaceful little haven where you cant help but relax. The Lodge itself had everything you needed. I would say we it was one of the best views weve had. Thank you

Fantastic location, very peaceful and quiet, a very romantic hideaway. The owner, Tim, was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely time at the lodge, the weather was very up and down, but we found lots of lovely local villages to explore and the lodge itself is great for total relaxation. The beach, pub and shop are about a 10 minute walk. Nice places to see nearby include Burgh Island, Bigbury, Hope Cove, Thurlestone and Salcombe. The lodge is very well located for a variety of coastal walks too. Tim (the owner) was very friendly, helpful and informative when we needed him to be! We found it a very peaceful and relaxing place.

What a fantastic retreat, the lodge is every bit amazing as the photographs.
The views are outstanding and we found it very relaxing sitting on the decking looking out at the view to burgh island.
The lodge is very comfortable and clean and you feel like you are in secret little hideaway.
The walk to the beach and pub is easily managebale, the journey back isnt that bad either, even if it is uphill. This was made much easier after a few drinks at the sloop, who serve wonderful food the suits all budgets.
We will definately be coming back to relish in the relaxation that sunset lodge offers.

Every evening we were lucky to have a glorious sunset sitting outside the lodge and enjoying the amazing view out to sea and down towards Cornwall.
Each day we found a new walk to the sea and different coves to swim at.Our dog was particularily happy with this.We were very fond of the nearby estuary and river as each changing tide showed another picture, and lots of bird life.
The lodge is really nice ,cosy and remote,no other campers here. You are set in a wood at the bottom of a large garden.
The bed is large and has quality linen, with feather pillows--yummy.I loved the stainglassed window which glowed every morning.
The local pub, the Sloop is welcoming and does great food,as does the local coffee shop do some good light meals that you can enjoy on their deck over looking the river.

A wonderful retreat in a wonderful location. It really felt like "home" during our stay and we even had our own pet hedgehog who snuffled around the decking at night. All in all a great place to stay, particularly if you enjoy wildlife, walks and stunning views.
