The property was quite run down on the outside the gardens were very untidy. The photos make it look bright but despite being lovely weather the apartment was always dark. There were numerous missing light bulbs which added to the darkness. The bed was extremely uncomfortable it was very hard and the mattress was very thin - not living up to a description of a luxury apartment. Perhaps the usage of the word luxury in the description is misleading as it did not match the description but it was clean on the inside and the kitchen was adequately equipped. The surrounding countryside is wonderful but there is no view from The Poppies. The people of Rothbury were very friendly but we did not meet anyone from the apartments and there was no welcome pack which we have received in other holiday homes

We are very sorry that you were dissapointed with your holiday accommodation. we are a little surprised by your observations as they are so opposite to the other reviews that we have recieved on this property. The counryside is all around the complex offering different perspectves from each apartment and of course you would have had access to all the grounds as all apartments do. As far as complaints concerning the bed we will look into this, but as before this is the first such complaint. If you do choose to visit us again, we would recommend that you stay in Coquet or Cheviot View as these have views over the valley which I suspect is what you would have enjoyed.

We were very impressed with the facility.It was everything as described and while we didnt do any major cooking,everything you could need appeared to be there. The toys were an addad bonus when our grandson visited as were the books. We will definitely return. The location was handy for the village and very peaceful. We were also able to extend our stay by a few days with no difficulty as it was available.

The decor was excellent. Very clean. It sets the standard for great holidays in the uk!
