Mike and Allison gave us a very warm welcome as did the property!
If you like peace and solitude in wonderful surroundings then this is the place for you.
The cottage is well laid out and well equipped and you have the choice of enjoying the gardens or wandering in the extensive private woodland.
The owners live nearby but are very discrete and genuinely want you to enjoy your holiday.
We will definitely be returning!!

Everything anybody would expect from a French Gite plus extras such as two fridge freezers and a dishwasher but access is difficult in a two wheel drive long wheelbase car. It was unfortunate that the description of the facilities was inaccurate. The cooker was not electric and the TV not satelite but I am sure this place would be appreciated by many people.
We value our privacy and to share the building with the owners office was definately not as described. Shame really as they were obviously very nice people.
My wife disliked sharing the site with so many people and having the owners camping nearby in the woods made us feel awkward and made our dog bark a lot. The gite is very dark inside requiring the lights to be left on during the daytime.
Owner reply:
Ok, time to clear up a few points mentioned above.
The customers turned up two hours early and were clearly disgruntled when asked to return at 4.00pm which is mentioned several times in the pre arrival details.
Of all our 100 plus customers, the drive has never been mentioned as a problem area, in fact one family staying in one of our other properties, using the same drive was driving a new jaguar and he experienced no problems whatsoever.
The electric cooker has recently been replaced after being broken, to a gas version.
The tv is satellite and the dish is approx 10 mtrs from the back door.
The gite is entirely self-contained and it is ridiculous to suggest that it is shared with an office.
There were two other extremely quiet people staying in another of our properties 60 mtrs from the gite at the time of this customers stay.
The majority of French houses tend to be a little dark when the weather is not good but how does leaving lights on pose a problem as the electricity is included in the price?
Our property covers 27 acres and we were camping with our Grand-daughter in the woods 200 mtrs from the gite.
We agreed to the customers bringing their dog on the basis that is was well behaved
All the above facts can be verified by third parties.
Should the customers have been able to communicate with others
maybe their concerns would have been addressed.
Please read the other reviews and make up your own mind!

What a great holiday, awsome value for money, directions were spot on and we were met warm heartedly after being delayed by traffic. The Gite is fantastic, if you are looking for a break, away from the hustle of normal every day life, then look no further. The surroundings are amazing and the views breath taking. Set in 27 aces of land the kids had fun every day exploring. Be prepared for a bit of driving to visit cultural sites etc but this is made up for by the stunning scenery. The gite itself contains every appliance needed and and even games and books for those quiet evenings. We had a brilliant time and will definately going again and with friends next time.
All we can say is thanks guys you made our summer.
kindest regards Tim, Nicola, TJ, Alex, Aidan Wright
