A truly lovely apartment, quiet complex, but every thing on site you could need. The apartment was very comfortable and all the fittings etc., were of a very high standard. It was a joy to cook a meal and eat on the balcony or sun terrace. The swimming pool was enormous and quite often we had the pool to ourselves. It was a lovely holiday, exceeded our expectations and we hope to return in the very near future. The owner was helpful, but respected our privacy. Ticked all the boxes!!

The apartment was lovely, very modern with nice furniture. The balcony was very spacious, and the roof terrace was great, even had a sea view.
We just had a couple of niggly problems:
1) We had to wash all the cutlery and crockery before using it.
2) There needed to be a full length mirror somewhere in the apartment.
3) The air conditioning was impossible to work out how to use. We contacted the owner who gave us some tips, but it still would not work for more than about half an hour.
4) Finally, there wasnt any toilet paper upon arrival. Which could be a big problem if you arrived very late in the evening and the shops were not open.
But on the whole we thought the apartment and complex was lovely.

On arrival at the Penthouse Tjattan we were very impressed. The Penthouse was clean and comfortable and had everything you could wish for it was certainly like home from home. I liked the fact that the kids had a bedroom of their own rather than sleeping on pull out sofa beds as they are teenagers now and are getting too big for pull out beds, the two bathrooms made a difference when getting ready to go out too. Arrival and key collection insructions were straight forward. The pool was not overly crowded which meant we could get up enjoy breakfast and we strolled around to the pool at approximately 11.00am and there were still sunbeds available which made a big difference. The poolside bar was not open all day it only opened on an afternoon (but then the kids couldnt keep asking for ice cream etc which saved us money). Overall it has been one of the best holidays for relaxation we have had in a long time and we will certainly be returning.

TASTEFUL APARTMENT WITH GOOD SPEC IN A PERFECT LOCATION. VERY RELAXING ROOF TERRACE, ESPECIALLY EARLY EVENING WITH A DRINK & OLIVES. FLEXIBLE, HELPFUL OWNER. HAD A SUPERB TIME RELAXING WITH MY FAMILY & WOULD RECOMMEND IT.

Penthouse, Tjâttan is located in the Bella Luna complex in Cala Egos.
Apartment: Tjâttan is located on the third floor, with steps leading up to the front door (no lift). Although a bit of a climb, the up side of this is that you get the use of a roof sun terrace. There is also a covered balcony area complete with a table for sitting out, and it gets the sun in the evening (great for sitting out with a drink or a meal). This also forms an ideal area of drying swimming kit / washing etc. Inside, the seating area comfortably seats five and the kitchen comes complete with a fridge, cooker and hob (but no microwave when we were there). There are two bedrooms, one double with an en-suite bathroom and one twin with a shower/toilet next door. The apartment was clean and tidy on our arrival, and was cleaned with fresh towels provided mid-week. It would ideally suit a family with two children, but as a couple with two friends it was also ideal for us.
We were the first guests to stay in the apartment under it's current ownership and there were one or two teething issues - mainly that the air conditioning units didn't work initially and dripped water onto the floor when they did work. We also had some problems with the electronic keycode entry on the safe, but this was quickly remedied by providing a key.
Location: Quiet location 5-10 mins walk to shops (including a Spa supermarket), bars and restaurants in Cala Egos and 20 mins to restaurants on the Cala Egos side of Cala D'Or's marina. It's also only 5 mins walk from the beach and Star boat stopping point in Cala Egos (for trips along the coast).
The centre of Cala D'Or is about a 45 min walk away, as you have to walk around the marina. Generally not a problem, but if you want to go out in Cala D'Or of an evening, it's a taxi ride.
Complex: The swimming pool is excellent and not overly crowded during our stay in mid-July. It has a bar in the centre selling drinks and food (including some quite addictive ice creams!). A nice touch is the provision of air beds and inflatable rings for use in the pool. There are also tennis and volleyball courts next to the pool. Overall if you're looking for a quieter complex, Bella Luna is a good choice.
Conclusion: Issues with the air conditioning aside (we ended up sleeping most nights with the windows open), Tjâttan was a great place to stay. The owners are friendly and available on site to deal with any issues - as there was no-one else coming into the apartment on the day we left, the also let us stay until late in the day so we could make full use of the facilities before returning home on our late night flight.

Only one thing, the microwave was fitted it is sitting in the utility room.
