Stellenbosch is a quaint old Town and you could be forgiven for thinking you were in a small Dutch Town or English Village rather than South Africa. There are lots of restaurants serving a variety of cuisines to a diverse customer base, young, old and in between. Dressed up and dressed down everyone mixed well and felt at ease. Given some of the security issues in South Africa, it is also really nice that you can walk anywhere at anytime taking no more security measures than you would back home. A really relaxing laid back place, but you can easily overdo it on the food an wine...
