Altea is a gem once you find the 'old town' ... even though the 'new' parts are also wortha wander through!

Although there is no beach to speak of the town has great restaurants and bars catering for all tastes. There are nice beaches within easy reach.

Altea is a beautiful old part of Spain with the familiar cobbled streets, shops, restaurants and the wonderful church up in the main square. We have watched many traditional religious ceremonies from weddings to funerals from one of the many bars outside. There are great views of the coastline from two sides of the square and the wonderful streets from the other two. A friendly, welcoming place I would certainly recommend to anyone from teenagers to families.
