If you want a wild time with noisy clubs and bars bursting with music - DONT VISIT ARCOS. If you want a place where the kids will find entertainment and places to play all day - DONT VISIT ARCOS. If you want the peace and tranquillity of an historic town, with cobbled roads brimming with ancient atmoshere and character - VISIT ARCOS. If you like to mooch about slowly, up and down narrow little alleyways, pausing for rest and refreshment in quiet little tapas bars VISIT ARCOS. If you want to really experience Spain VISIT ARCOS.
( Not recommended for people with walking difficulties)
Review by Tracy Rolfe from Guildford
Arcos de la Frontera is a picturesque typically andaluz white town. It offers pretty streets, historical buildings and fantastic panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside. The town has a municipal swimming pool and horse riding nearby. Within easy reach of Arcos are the cities of Jerez, Cadiz and Sevilla. The beaches and water park at el Puerto de Santa Maria and Cadiz are not too far away either. It is also easy to get to the natural parks of Do~ana and Grazalema. Overall a lovely town in itself and a great location for the best of cities, beaches and countryside.
Review by Lynn Smith from Mirfield
Arcos de la Frontera is a gem, a gleaming white town dramatically perched on a hilltop. The real Spain where people live and work, not just a tourist destination. In less than an hour you can reach the Atlantic coast or the stunning Sierra De Grazalema mountains.
