Belek as a town is neat and tidy with a good variety of shops and restaurants English is not widely spoken would be easier to enjoy the various shops if the shop owners were not so eager to entice you into them
Review by Craig Humphreys from Stoke on Trent
Not much in nightlife for kids, mainly restaurants with quiet music in background, only saw one restaurant showing football matches. Kadriye fares better in this aspect with an excellent disco bar called Dadas. Belek is ok to shop & enjoy a meal, not much more.

Belek is a lovely local town, with great shops, restaurants and local people - who have a great sense of humour. We were made to feel welcome by all. It has everything on its doorstep and a really great market on Saturdays.

there are no words that can describe belek.it was lovely.there were very nice restaurants for you to eat at,the people are so very nice and freindly, there are nice shops for you and also a weekly market.where i found many bargains,we drove just a little out of belek, and the scenery was just amazing. belek is a quiet place but that is what i wanted from my holiday.away from the hustle and bustle of home life, the most relaxing holiday i have had in a lot of years. ty belek be back again next year especialy for the golf which was fantastic.a must for the golfers.      big thank you    dot_hamish

Belek was a very quiet village in the middle of nowhere providing minimal entertainment and quite expensive in all shops and bars

Belek has not been spoilt and retains much of its Turkish charm, loads of golf courses for those that like to play. Great swimming pools.

For a family who likes to stroll along the beach taking in Tavernas in the evening this is not the place to go, there are none ,the area is dominated by large hotels offering all inclusive holidays hence the lack of Tavernas etc.. We were asked at a Restaurant in Belek if we were in a villa or a Hotel,if in a local villa the cost of the meal was cheaper !!!!
Belek has plenty of shops all selling the same products, fighting for a sale ,quite Intimidating as you were being heckled continually to the point of rudeness. We have been to Turkey (Ole Deniz , Fethye ) many times but have not experienced this so intensely before.
A car is essential if you want beaches, places of interest and shopping where you can actually window shop without the harassment, try Side approx 30mins from Belek we spent most evenings here as there are plenty of tavernas to chose from or for a more Scenic beach and surrounding area you have to go even further afield to Phesos.
However if you came for the Golf there`s 12 courses to chose from ,trouble is you can play spot the golfer as we did not see one the whole 2 weeks we were there.
As you can see from the above comments we did not find Belek a place for a family holiday, unless you stayed in a Hotel where all entertainment is provided and did not leave the Hotel premises.

Excellent location of villa with incredible pool. We had a fantasic time with amazing reliable weather. The villa was really clean and the air conditioning was very good too. Bar at the end of the road was very useful and very friendly English owners who made us feel very welcomed. Children decribed it as the best holiday and have already asked to go back next year!!

We actually stayed in Kadriye not belek, Kadriye is a lovely town the people are very very welcoming and there is a variety of restaurants to visit. The beach is lovely and you can sit in hammocks or on bean bags and soft sofas whilst enjoying a drink and swimming in the sea which is like getting into a bath. If you are looking for 18 - 30 style holidays this would not be the place for you, if however you want a relaxing holiday with losts of local sightseeing to do then it is perfect.

BELEK WAS NOT AS BEAUTIFUL AS I EXPECTED, BUT I EXPECT THAT IS BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF BUILDING GOING ON, SO WHEN ITS FINISHED I IMAGINE IT WOULD BE BEATIFUL.
FOUND THE PEOPLE TO BE FRIENDLY AND LOVE LEARNING NEW ENGLISH WORDS AS WELL AS US LEARNING SOME TURKISH.

Belek is perfect for golfing and the 10 championship golf courses are making the area a Mecca for the amateur golfer. The area is around Belek is still developing and it will obviously be busier in a few years time, with lots of building work going on.
Belek centre is full of shops etc, but certainly lacks the number of restuarants you would expect from such an area (most people eat in the all inclusive hotels). Again, in a few years time I am sure this will have been addressed.
Beware the Troy waterpark, very expensive and the food is at extortionate pricing,

We had a very good time here in Belek. It is not so far from antalya airport and not so far from Antalya city. It was really perfect. But it has his own center also which is very good to do shopping.
