A very efficient booking site that gave us confidence but need to re word 'Pero will meet you at the apartment'-assumed he would. It failed to say we would be contacted by owner to arrange time!

We weren't in Makarska but Promanja, a small village just along from there. It was very family friendly with lots of croatian and european families relaxing and enjoying themselves. Really nice atmosphere, attentive and good service in restaurants,absolutely stunning scenery, with the craggy mountains behind, crystal clear sea and tree lined beaches. Shame Promanja is obviously a new development with hardly any older properties etc, but the promenade along the beachfront is more sympathetic. Ideal for those with younger families. (There is no night life except for the bars and restaurants!)
