Mogan is a beautiful town, with an excellent beach boasting good facilities and a wide range of watersports on offer. The dining in the town is excellent and varied, with a number of very high quality restaurants. The nightlife is not as busy as Puerto Rico for instance, but if you want a get-away-from-it-all break, that is not too distant from the livelier centres of the island, I could recommend no better place.
There are also a number of other very good beaches nearby if you prefer to travel a little. I would recommend that you hire a car if you stay anywhere apart from the beach, but the driving is very straight forward without the pressures of the big city to handle!

We stayed a little outside the port area of Mogan in a beautiful house. We discovered that for the four of us to travel by bus down to the port was the same price as going in a taxi, so it is wortwhile to get a local taxi number. In general eating in the port area is nicer and more atmospheric than at the beach. Strolling around the town and port area in the evening is very pleasant and many of the yachts will catch your attention, if the variety of fish in the crystal clear water dont. We ate in a variety of places and found them good value, good quality and friendly staff. We had a toddler with us and the beach area is very staff and is well caterd for with lifegyards, toilets and showers. Puerto Mogan is a beautiful place for a holiday, it is not over developed and yet caters for all your needs.
