Los Gigantes is a nice quiet part of Tenerife. There is a fine choice of restaurants, but you do need to try them out to identify the best. CK's Bistro and the Oasis both do extremely nice food.
The Bars are open late and have a variety of entertainment. The Marina offers excursions to see the dolphins and there are some excellent walks that you can go on if you book with Hans.
The whole atmosphere is kicked back and the locals are accommodating and friendly.
All in all a nice family resort, near enough to other places of interest to not be boring but quiet enough to relax in.
