Akbuk is a charming resort - picturesque bay backed up by mountains which made for some spectacular sunsets. Evening walks along the promenade with men fishing in the twilight were a delight. As in the less touristy resorts of Turkey, the local people were friendly and generous with their hospitality. My principal reservation would be that it's becoming too English - too many concessions to foreign visitors which could endanger its appeal.

Akbuk is an up and coming area and is very beautiful. So beautiful we bought a place about 6 miles down the road.Cant wait to go out again in October.

Akbuk is beautiful surounded by lush green mountainside, it is a very peaceful place making a lovely relaxing holiday. The locals are very friendly and willing to help and you always get a lovely welcome when visiting the many restaurants on the sea front. Where there is a beautiful view across the bay and you can watch the sunset at night.

Akbuk is beautiful, not a tour operator in sight and I hope it remains so, becasue then it will retainits charm and loveliness. It was not brash or loud, you can go up the road to Altikum for that or any other tourist hot spot. There is nothing to do but enjoy a meal or glass of wine in the evening or in the day
