Review by Howard Bean from hythe Kent CT21 5RB
A very quiet and relaxing holiday. The finca had all the facilities needed for a two week stay. The temperatures were a degree or two cooler than on the coast, with pleasant breezes blowing up the valley. Plenty of wild life to spot, from large Mallorcan Kites to small gekoes around the finca. Plenty of walks nearby but buy a map to show these. There were no instructions for using the air con but with a little common sense, or a teenager in your midst, it was quiet and very effective at night. Remember to switch off during the day.
The motorway being nearby gave good connections to Palma and Alcudia. Alcudia has some beautiful beaches with safe bathing in sheltered waters of the large bay. There are plenty of restaurants and bars along the coast. Try to visit the Roman site near the church. You can sit in the amphitheatre or perform on the stage. Get a map of the town from the Tourist information on the beach.
Until you are familiar with the area DO get back to the finca before dark, it is much easier to find!
