What's the weather like in Almeria Prov?
The Province is situated to the South Eastern area of the Spanish Peninsula in between the Provinces of Granada and Murcia. It is a relatively small region although it does have an approximate population of 400’000. It is also the hottest part of Andalusia with an average 3’100 hours of sunshine a year lasting from around February till November.
The hot and dry climate makes for very arid conditions, which are almost desert like in appearance. This creates a very interesting landscape that has been described as almost lunar in places. In fact the landscape is particularly famous for acting as the set in many of the Spaghetti Western films, including ‘Fistful of Dollars’.
