Annual events in Almeria Prov...
Like any area of Spain, Almeria lives up to the party atmosphere, with various festivals and carnivals throughout the year. It is the last week of April when Almeria celebrates the festival of their patron saint, ‘The Virgen del Mar’. Here, a statue of the saint is elevated on a carriage and decorated with flowers. There is a procession through the towns and the statue is paraded into the sea.
