We used the apartment in Almuêcar as our base for ski holliday !!!!. Only 1:20 drive up to Sierra Nevada, and then we could include a visit to Alhambra. Also a trip to Gibraltar was fitted into our schedule. So Almuêcar are in the middel for all this events.

Almunecar has a great deal to offer to holiday makers who want to see another side a Spain. It is a safe family friendly town without all the usual tourist shops and attractions you would find in more well known resorts. In the evenings the restaurants are filled with families enjoying a layed back meal. Our children were always welcomed and well catered for.

Almunecar is a lovely spanish town with lots to do and lots to see but not "in your face" like many of the other resorts on the Costas. Almunecar is surrounded by absolutely stunning scenery which we loved. We shall definitely be back again.

Almunecar is a spanish resort with a totally different feel to all the other costa del sol towns. It is much more spanish and far less busy and hardly any highrise apartments/hotels.
