This little hidden corner of Tuscany is perfect for those seeking to get away from the heavy tourism and enjoy stunning views, warm and welcoming people, and fantastic food. History awaits on around every corner.
Review by Jane Subden from Louth
The region of Tuscany we holidayed in is on the Eastern border with Umbrian. It is off the beaten track and is covered in beautiful deciduous forests. It is very mountainous and has a national park covering many square miles. Remote monasteries and quiet hilltop villages and towns which we wandered around up and down the narrow lanes and stair ways and visited museums and churches almost alone. Gubbio and Cortona were particularly amazing and were about 75 minutes drive away. Siena and Florence are easy to reach although them were obviously busier. This area is total unspoilt and a perfect getaway for anyone wants to just relax and enjoy the real Italy.
