A quiet but pleasantly relaxing area to visit.

Argaka is a quiet rural village situated about 5 miles from the town of Polis. There are a number of good quality tavernas in the area along the coast road, where you can watch the sun going down over the bay. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday, away from the tourist areas, Argaka is for you.

Compared to other areas of Cyprus taking into account this was our first visit to the Island I was pleased that we selected Argaka. It has the beautiful backdrop of the mountains and the gentle hills are covered in lemon and orange groves. Very scenic and unspoilt. It is I should imagine much quiter than the more built up city areas. I think this is a location that you rely more on making your own entertainment, more suited to young familys or older couples not a lot of night life for young people. The food is fairly priced and generally of good value. If you need to get away from the rat race and chill this is the place to be.
