Health - Before you go
Spain has a reciprocal health agreement with the UK. Make sure you have an EHIC health form (available from UK post offices).

Health - When you are there
Use plenty of sunscreen and consider taking a break from the sun's intensity at midday. Pharmacies (farmacia) display a green cross.

Warnings
Be observant and protect your possessions - handbags casually slung over a shoulder are easy targets for pickpockets. Always pay attention to flag signs on the beach about water conditions.

Emergency

Customs
The Spanish seem to operate on a different clock and tend to eat their evening meal much later than in the UK.

You may bring your pet to and from Spain under the Pet Travel Scheme provided you have the correct documentation. This takes some months to set up; check with your vet for details.
