With numerous members of our family living on camposol, and over the past 5yrs of visiting at 2-3 times a yr, we have been able to watch the development of Camposol grow into a very prosperous and exciting place. On sector A there are many friendly bars and restaurants, with Margerates small grocery store, which seems to have everything you need, internet/pizza shop, and Diy shops and Bodega, to buy wine from huge barrels or bottles of your choice. The Commercial centre on Sector B, has numerous bars and restaurants, all family friendly, and also a large Consum Supermarket, which you can buy all and more than you need. There are bank machines and petrol station, all at hand. The Golf course has grown from a tricky 9-hole, to a challenging 18-hole course, it has a lovely club house, which you can eat, (at a slightly higher price) and also cater for entertainment evenings, as well as Xmas day dinner and events. The hotel has grown rapidly and would be an ideal place for any golfers to come and enjoy.
One piece of advise is that a car is a must on Camposol, especially if staying on Sector 'D' as it is quite a distance to get to the local shops on Sector 'B'. The beauty of having a car, is that it also opens up the whole area, and if your feeling adventurous, there are so many awe inspiring views to be had on the Sierra de Espuna, which sits above Totana, Alhama de Murcia. You will find the beautiful village Aledo with it's castle built on the Mountainside, and at night is all lit up, and looks spectacular. The Monument of Jesus in La Santa is breath taking in it's size and seems to overlook the whole area, stretching as far as the eye can see. We also recommend a wonderful Spanish restaurant, two miles from Aledo on the road to Bullas, on the left hand side on a bend, which serves a Menu of the day, or your own choice from the menu, (it helpful to know a little spanish here, as it's very much a locals) and despite a few smiles from the waiter we have been going there for 5 yrs and they get to know you and the welcome is always bigger.
Other places we recommend are the bars, restaurants and Marina at Peurto de Mazarron, where there is a sea view from any of the restaurants on the front and a lovely family beach, which does get busy. Also there is a Superb Pottery shop, which sells the most exquisite pieces, and beautifully wrapped.
Towns to visit for good shopping and superb architecture Lorca, (spectacular Church) Cartegena, with it's Naval history and an option for a boat ride out of the harbour, and you are given the full history of Cartegena. Also a chance to dine on a permanantly moored restaurant Ship called La Patacha which altho a bit pricey, worth it for the experience and authentic feactures.
Recommend you make use of all the local markets, there are also good ones, short distance drives away, in Alhama de murcia, Peuto de mazzarron, and many more, (locals will be glad to give you information on what days etc) and there is also a local free paper which you can pick up to give you more ideas.
We recommend highly and will continue to visit Camposol regularly, we hope anyone else finding themselves in Camposol, find the experience as wonderful as we have.

The urbanisation is large but this villa is on Sector A, which is the oldest sector.
The golf course is a 5 minute drive away and did not look particularly busy.
The hotel and spa looked lovely. Had a manicure. Not the cheapest but the ambience was totally relaxing.
Kids enjoyed the bowling at Alley Palais. Not really much more on site for kids but as only 20 minutes drive to the beach, it was not really a problem

i think it was a lovely place, only thing was all the street lights was always out at night which didnt make us feel safe but there was security guards driving around but they need to have signs on the cars as we thought a car was following us. but after knowing we felt safe.

We have stayed at Camposol Golf a few times now and find the location and amenities ideal for our requirements..weather is guaranteed of course..but everything is here to make it a real home form home..15 minutes from the beaches and 30 minutes from the mountains 5 minutes from Mazarron ..Camposol has a real range of villas to chose from for rent covering everybodys needs i feel...basic accomodation at low cost is there plus luxury vilas too and all i feel great value for money in a great area of Spain ..if you wnat a bristish pint you can get one..if you wnat a typical Spanish restaurtant there are plenty to choose form in and around the numerous villages..absolutely the best of both worlds....
