Travel Reviews : Casares

Review by john mills from paris

Comments refer to the property, not Casares which is a scenic white village, worth a visit if you have not already visited a white village but otherwise without too much to sustain interest.

Review by David Shacklady from 73 Bosworth Rd, St Helens,Merseyside. WA11 9HF

Casares offers both hills and beach within a short drive. Casares pueblo is a white Spanish village in the hills with a typically Andalucian flavour while Costa del Casares offers an number of nice beaches. If golf is your thing there are 4 interesting golf courses close by.

Review by Mandy Wilson from Freckleton, Preston

The apartment was in Casares Del Sol which is an area outside of the tiny, unspoilt, mountainside village of Casares. Casares Del Sol is at the foot of the steep hillsides leading to the seafront and miles of uncrowded beaches which are maintained to a high standard with many facilities for the family day at the beach such as clean toilets, footwashes, boardwalks, cafes and bars for ice cold drinks.

The area is very well situated as a base to visit Gibraltar (half an hour drive away) and the many small ports and marinas along the coast, Peurto Banus, Estepona, La Duquesa etc. The ports have lovely dining and bars in which to watch the many boats come and go. In addition there is shopping and markets (Saturdays in Peurto Banus) in these towns making for very full interesting days out.

The nearest town offering supermarkets for the apartment complex is Sabillinas which is a 5 minutes drive from the resort of Casares Del Sol.

A very family orientated area during the summer months which gives way to the golfers from September onwards.

Review by Nick Jackson from Potters Bar

Casares and area is a beautiful part of Spain. We said we could actually live there!

Review by Lynne Roberts from Rhyl

Very picturesque, charming and friendly Village. Perched on the mountain hillside. The old Spain unchanged or commercialised. Lovely to walk around and meet the local people and vist the local market on a Friday with fresh fruit and veg as it should be.

The Real Spain !

However still within easy reach of Estepona, beaches and other coastal resorts in the area.

Lynne, North Wales.

Good value for money if you can get a cheap flight as well. Very good for families, nice beaches. clean. modern.
