Our friendly taxi driver had pointed out Centianes beach on our arrival from the airport and explained that he had been born in the area. Unfortunately it was too dark to see very much so we decided we would walk ther the following morning. When we did we were not disappointed. The view as we turned the corner was spectacular. The beach itself was stunning, clean and very relaxing. It was also nice and peaceful, there were probably no more than fifteen people including us. Even though we were staying in a villa with our own private pool, I much preferred to walk down to the beach for a few hours every day as it was so calming. A definite highlight of our stay.

The location is good as it is just far enough away from the centre of carvoeiro to walk and have a stop off at a bar onthe way. The view is spectacular looking across the cove to sea, all local amenities are within a fifteen walk including supermarket, or two minute drive. This a great holiday destination for families and couples, spectacular beaches good restaurants and bars all within easy reach.

Ceniantes Beach is a fantastic resort for those who live sedantary lives but wish they could be more active. Located in the hills around the main beach resort, a good walk (15 mins) into the town makes you feel so much better about the fantastic food you eat in the lovely choice of restaurants in town and the walk back helps digestion! I've been three times and always come back feeling healthier, lighter and fitter, despite having had lovely food and drink for the whole holiday. If you have poor health or mobility, this might not be the holiday location for you, lovely as it is.
