Central Caleta is a convenient beach location with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops for a fairly small family resort. The weather is fantastic and there is plenty of opportunity to take part in water sports. It is near to the airport so no long journey to your destination. The local buses are good and cheap giving easy access to other towns on the island.

Costa Caleta is ideal if you just want to get away from it all and relax! It's ideal for families and couples. I always feel safe there. There is something for everyone. If you prefer English bars and restaurants then there are plenty but if you want to eat and drink with the locals then that's not a problem either! The food, weather and beaches are all fantastic. The town has everything you need. If you want a quiet night it's not a problem but if you'd prefer to stay out till 3am, there's always the option! Caleta is what you want to make it. It is an ideal base to explore a beautiful island.

This was my fifth visit to this resort and I enjoyed it as much as my first. Over the years I had made friends with owners of local restaurants, The Jazz Bar and O'Fado Portuguese and the food they offer is fantastic. The resort is fairly quiet and ideal for my 2 year old grand daughter who came with us for the first time and she had a great time. Lots of pedestrian walkways so its perfectly safe for all ages.

If you go to Costa Caleta anytime except school holidays, its the most beautiful, peaceful and quiet place to unwind and relax. If you prefer self catering - Los Geranios or Barcelo Bungalows are the best places to stay. The very best restaurant is without doubt Fado Rock, Lunch at Le Perlita and drink on the beach at Pedro's and best English breakfast is Lin's Bar - Fantastic!

Central Caleta is a lovely family resport with excellent beaches and restaurants. It's a clean, friendly resort where you can relax and not be pestered. I've been to this resort four times and will continue to go for years to come. It's excellent if you want some winter sun.
