Guernsey is a beautiful island where you still expect to greet/be greeted by anyone you meet. There has been too much building but it is still possible to get to quieter spots. Good walking if wanted. Also interesting birds and plants to see -you can't beat cliffs covered in coconut scented golden gorse and the lanes lined with bluebells, red campion and wild garlic.
