A lovely area, lots to see & do & many great tavernas. It is a bit expensive (mainly due to the current exchange rate). I would definately recommend hiring a car to get around though. The locals were very friendly & helpful. Overall a great place to visit, offering a variety of things to see & do, from historical sites to more usual family holiday activities (water park, go carting, fishing etc).

Our experience at this resort was most enjoyable and relaxing. The close proximity of all facilities, especially the pool re our Platanos townhouse was fabulous. The location of this residence to the main town of Paphos and its historical sites, shopping, dining and beaches was ideal. The service and assistance levels during our stay were of an excellent standard. We believe we received value for money during our stay.

We found that you needed a car to travel out of the area, as not a lot to do with teenage boys in Chlorakas itself. It wasn't near the beach as stated in description, but it was very close to Paphos harbour and town centre. and not far from Coral Beach harbour. We did find food etc quite expensive compared to the cost of living in uk. so take plenty of spending money. The weather was beautiful and very hot. but not uncomfortable. We used the big supermarkets for buying essentials, not always cheaper, but better quality (ie fruit and veg/salad) It was a lovely base for our holiday and cannot really fault Chlorakas, The only critisism I would say, was that driving back to the airport, there was not very many clear directions on how to get to the airport, so don't rely on road signs, you could get lost!!!

Chlorakas - a village on the outskirts of Paphos offers traditional and modern aspects of Cyprus living. Convenient to Paphos & Coral Bay. Chlorakas has a number of restaurants and bars to entertain the family if you dont wish to go into central Paphos or Kato Paphos, which offer the full array of entertainment and restaurants to suit all. Good supermarket & shops in Chlorakas cover all your requirements. Easy 1/2 hour drive from the Airport, means you dont waste any holiday time. Watersports, waterpark, beaches, historical sights all within access and recommended.

Chlorakas was in a residential part of Paphos not alot around a few mini markets close to the apartments and we found a very friendly bar about a 5 min walk which did food was very reasonable. You definatley need a car if you stay in these apartments as they are not central and a bit off beaten track also there is no entertainment in the complex so you need to get out and about. I have not been put off at all but will be a few years before I would return and it needs to be complete.

An excellent location for a relaxing holiday for the sun worshiper who enjoys their food and drink. The restaurants are good value even with the Euro at 1.20 and the service top drawer. Paphos Harbour is a bit touristy but a beautiful setting with plenty of choice and cuisine of a good standard, a little further away, Lattchi which is west of Polis (NW of Paphos) is stunning, small but upmarket, excellent Fish restaurants as is the establishment attached to the Hotel Thalassa in Coral Bay. Greta venue to recharge the batteries.
