Corralejo town is typical tourist town, full of bars, and disco's, with shops selling tourist artifacts and T shirts, there are some interesting restaurants near the harbour, but not a lot else, it is a great area for teenagers and sport enthusiasts, but around the town are some wonderful beaches.

Corralejo is a really busy resort. Everything is really spread out so lots of walking is required. It is really busy and noisy, not at all tranquil. The sand dune beaches are however beautiful.

Corralejo is a small resort with a small local beach and harbour. There are dozens of restaurants to chose from, a good taxi service, and good supermarkets. The water park is huge. A great place for a holiday.

Corralejo has some wonderful places and resturants that are original and unspoilt as long as you ask the locals and these are usually found on the back streets. The high street has a mixture of up market shops, cafes and resturants as well as trippy ones!. On the sand dunes the beaches are beautiful and well serviced. The sea is a wonderful bluey green and very clear with a wind ithat is warm and refreshing. The local people are very friendly and helpful people. Corralejo is a place not to be missed and not spoilt yet!

We love Corralejo and have been coming every year for the last five. There's something for everyone here without being over the top. We have favourite restaurants but are always willing to try new ones. My daughter and I love the shopping, especially Mango and a few others! All in all it's good value, stunning beaches and only four hours from the UK.

Ps Lovely to see the resort train once again!

Corralejo is a great place for a holiday. Got loads of shops, bars and restaurants but keeps a family and relaxed atmosphere. We loved it, especially the pretty old town area by the harbour.

Really liked Corralejo. its friendly, got good shopping, loads of restaurants for all different tastes and just a really nice place to spend a relaxing holiday. Especially like the Dunes outside town and the ferry to Lanzarote from the harbour in the Old Town

corralejo offers everything for the young to the old (like us on a pension)
Review by Karen Martin from East Kilbride
there are two excellent restaurants down at the harbour, one with seafood a speciality called Sotovento and the other newly opened by an English couple called Los Pepes. Both these restaurants are well worth a visit and good value for money.
Review by Brian Breathnach from Dublin
Corralejo is an excellent holiday destination for anyone looking to get away. Depending on weather you want to just relax and take it easy or push yourself a bit and try new things Corralejo has something for everyone. Nightlife can be a little quiet for some but there are some niteclubs but they don't dominate as in some other resort destinations.
Food and drink can be of the highest quality and resonably priced but as with most places it's a case of try and see.
The weather is perfect for pasty white northern europeans (Irish like me) with an almost constant cooling breeze coming in from the Atlantic, but this does not mean you won't get a tan or sunburn just that you won't feel like you have to shower every 10 minutes from the effects of a 'dead heat' as I've experrienced on previous holidays.
All in all I would highly recommend Carralejo for a relaxing family friendly holiday.

 | | Destination Guide : Corralejo |
|
| | | Corralejo | | Why go on holiday to Corralejo? The former fishing village has evolved into Fuerteventura's liveliest resort, packed with restaurants, bars and outdoor attractions. Just outside the town are sand dunes that stretch for miles along the Canary Island's east coast.
How much will it cost? Accommodation: a week's self-catering package in a purpose-built complex starts at around £320 in low season. Flights to Fuerteventura cost from about £130. Corralejo is a 45-minute transfer from the airport.
When should I go? Fuerteventura is a year-round destination with negligible rainfall. Even in December, the island has an average of five hours' sunshine a day. Temperatures top 80F (26C) in summer and 70F (21C) in winter.
Who's it for? Corralejo offers lively, affordable sun-and-sand breaks for all ages. Nightlife boils down to a few bars and clubs and a buzzing main square lined with restaurants. Young people should head for Centro Comercial Atlantico for bars with a party vibe.
Watersports fans will like the windsurfing, surfing, sailing and scuba-diving opportunities available around the resort.
What are the must-sees? Browse the shops, bars and restaurants around the resort's main square, Plaza Grande de Corralejo. After that, pack a picnic and visit Parque Natural de Corralejo's 10km of dazzling white sand dunes.
Take a three-hour mini-cruise and spend two hours on the Isla de Lobos, where you can spot hammerhead sharks and birds before having lunch at a quayside kiosk.
For a diversion with a difference, sign up for a half-day's deep-sea fishing and have your catch cooked for lunch.
What will I spend? Prices vary greatly but as a rough guide: 36-exposure film £2.50, moderate restaurant meal £7-£10, without wine, bottle of beer £1, bottle of wine £6, litre of petrol 40p, four-mile taxi ride £6.
