Costa Blanca, Alicante is a great holiday location. We went end of October and the weather was fabulous. Food was varied and generally very well priced and varied. Would certainly love to return to Alicante area but next time a little nearer the airport to avoid so much travel time.

We stayed in the Arenal area of Javea Spain. This was an excellent place for families, there is a beautifull beach which is ideal for children as the sea is very shallow. The seafront also has lots and lots of places to eat which comes alive at night. The atmosphere is very friendly and lively. There are also lots of stalls selling nick nacks. The resort was great and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a family orientated holiday.

We ar spending our holiday in Javea for about 25 years and still enjoy it every time, in the summer as wel, during xmas and new year. In al the years Javea has not changed to much, i still is a good place for a famely holiday. Nice beach great nightlife very good restaurants in all price ranges, almost no highrise buildings.
We advice every body to try Javea ones and we are sure that you will get hooked the same as we are.

The trene (tram) from Alicante - Denia is great, 2 adults 12 euros all the way (single), great for day trips too as there are loads of little stations all the way down the coast.
English was not universally spoken so some Spanish is useful.
Driving is easy - but the motorway is a toll road (which we hadn't thought about) it cost around 8 euros from gata des gorgos to Alicante airport on the return journey and took about 2 hours.
