The main tourist towns are Blanes, Lloret del Mar and Tossa de Mar. As you move down you will come to the magnificent Bay of Roses which contains many pretty white sandy beaches. The surrounding area of Catalonia is very interesting to. It is quite different from the more southerly areas of Spain and has its own language too, set apart from traditional Spanish.
The weather is milder than Southern Spain but still makes for a pleasant summer destination. The average annual temperature is 16C and they receive on average 2500 hours on sunshine a year. The moderate annual rainfall results in a greener, less arid surrounding scenery.
