There is no limit to the activities available in Costa Brava. The area is fully equipped every tourist’s every need, from sporting activities to leisurely excursions. There are at least 20 top standard golf courses to choose from. So the Costa Brava is a dream for the avid golfer. For the more adventurous there are some extreme sports activities available from parachuting and paragliding to Bungee jumping and Mountaineering. In fact pretty much every sport is available here. Water sports are popular too and include canoeing, jet-skiing, surfing and sailing.
For the less active, you may find boat trips and helicopter rides more appealing. Or taking a trip to the local nature reserves for a wander.
Along the coast you will find countless restaurants, bars and clubs to wile away your evening hours. But, Costa Brava is no exception when it comes to the evening. Dinners are late and don’t even think you can get into a club before 11pm!
The Catalan cuisine is quite different from the rest of Spain and has quite a distinctive taste. Along the coast there is a more fish based diet and inland poultry and meats become more dominant. Las anchoas al estilo de las Medas is a popular dish made with anchovies, lobster and chicken. Or if you are feeling daring why not try manos de cerdo estofadas which is stewed pigs trotters.
