Costa Calida was a very quiet village (but we did visit at the end of May) set on the side of a small mountain, but only a short walk away from the beach. There are a few bars and restaurants which seemed reasonably priced. There was also water sports, horse riding, tennis etc about 15 minutes away by car. Further away, by car, were the historic cities of Cartagena and Murcia and if you were so inclined you could also visit Benidorm which was about an hour away. We had a very relaxing holiday, which is what we wanted as we all work hard the rest of the time and would definately visit the area again in the future.
