If you like the beach you will love Denia and the surrounding coastal areas. In addition the countryside and hils are not far away so you have contrasting choices of where to go and what to see.

Denia is a little Spanish town of about 30,000 people who all seem to come out in the evening so it is lively but very safe and there are plenty places to eat and drink. If you have a car you can drive up to the national park or go snorkeling at Las Rotas. You can also use it as a base if you want to visit the more cosmopolitan city of Valencia. The beach is very clean with all facilities and the water is fine but better at Las Rotas.

This is a great resort that manages to escape from the typical UK abroad costa brava experience. the atmosphere feels more authentic, with many spanish people having their holidays there. The marina is a great area to relax and watch the world go by. The beach is clean although not very wide but still plenty of room for games--not full of sun worshippers on rows of sunbeds

Denia is a lovely place to visit with miles of golden beach to explore. We had a really great holiday as Denia is quite picturesque with its little traditional Spanish back streets complete with secluded bars and restuarants.
