Donegal is a typical small irish town with all ammenties needed for a family, however don't be looking for specific entertainment for children as it is very traditional town ,a bit like going back in time. It has plenty, pubs, independant shops and restaurants. Plenty parking and not expensive. On the outskirts there are two supermarkets and a small craft village.
We stayed outside Donegal on the coast which had beautiful scenery and stunning coastline so we had the best of both worlds the coast on our doorstep(literally) and the countryside behind us.

Donegal is a beautiful place to visit, there is plenty to do and see. The weather wasn't great but it certainly didn't dampen our holiday. We had a fantastic time and the kids had a blast. Would highly recommend it!!!

Idyllic setting
Donegal is full of hidden delights, beautiful beaches, fantastic views and quaint rural villages. People are so friendly and everything is within easy reach. Festivals galore throughout the year and there is always a buzz of activity. Suitable for a Peaceful retreat, to rejuveninate , a family get together. We very much felt at home. Loved it all.
