Fethiye is a working town with lots of atmosphere and history. You can walk along the harbor towards Calis where you will find a number of excellent restaurants where you can enjoy a sun downer as you watch the sun set over Fethiye Bay. A market is held every Tuesday which sells an amazing array of fruit, vegetables, spices, clothes, kitchenware etc. An excellent choice for a relaxing holiday or for those who enjoy history there are many places to visit which are within easy reach by car or bus.

Fethiye is actually about 40 minutes dolmus ride from the villa in telmessos. Telmessos is unspoilt, quiet and I guess authentic as the beach there is undeveloped. You need to get a dolmus or lift/taxi to get to the developed parts of Calis Beach and the nightlife. Nearest bars and restaurants are about 10-12 min walk across the beach. We liked it for this reason.

Excellent location, lots to do and people are so friendly. Robin Hood Restaurant was very good. We enjoyed The cubana bar made us feel so welcome. The boat rides and trips are very good value for money and the scenery was outstanding. I love Fethiye and will definitly be back!

Fethiye, was more commercial than Calis. having also visited Istanbul and Marmaris in the past years this town is more typically Turkish and warrented more exploration but due to time we did not.
