I went on a package holiday to Ibiza two years ago and got the boat over to Formentera from San Antonio.
It was the most fantastic little island, apparently Pink Floyd used to have a place there!
It is quiet, secluded and very flat, cheap to hire a cycle and very easy to cycle around. I got the impression it was more expensive than Ibiza, but when I went to Es Pujois I was advised I should drink some of the local wine which is lovely but very strong, beware!
I am hoping to go to Formentera this year for a holiday as I felt a week wasn't enough.

A relaxing holiday
Formentera is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I have been on two holidays there and have always come back so relaxed.
There are some wonderful places, including the beaches, especially Illetes which is apparently classed as one of the top ten beaches in the world.
I stayed in Es Calo, which is a very quiet town. Do not go to the island if you are wanting nightclubs and a very lively holiday.
Formentera is for recharging your batteries. Highly recommended .
