Garrucha is a small spanish town within easy reach of Almeria airport and all other areas. It is a small friendly town with a market once a week. The fish market is interesting at 5 pm everyday. One can walk around the town with ease and find something of interest. There seem to be two parts to the town - old and new and both as interesting. There are plenty of other villages and towns in the area to visit especially Vera and the bullring is a must for a visit there.

Garrucha is a real town rather than a touristy resort and is somewhere where one can return year after year and instantly relax upon arrival.

For those who want to walk up and down a prom or just stroll about in the fish market or even just lie on a safe beach Garrucha is a place to go. There are lots of other interesting villages and seaside towns near by but a car is reccomended. A must visit is the three Cowboy towns at Tabernas. Oasys, Fort Bravo, Sergio Leone Land. Also the shopping arcade in Roqetas del Mar.

Garrucha is a lovely resort with a variety of shops and restaurants. The marina and harbour areas are great to wander round, particularly late afternoon when all the fishermen are returning with their daily catch. The playa is a lovely feature and provides a picturesque and relaxing route for a daily walk.
