Review by Marie Miller from London
Gharb is perfect for people who need to stop! You cant rush. You will smile - a lot! The scenery is a soft-yellow due to the sand-stone houses all around the village the people welcome you and say good morning keys dangle from doorways. You feel as though you are at home, as you would like it to be.
Walking around the village you see craftsmen working in garages underneath the houses and beautiful flowers tumbling onto arches and doorways. Walking down to the cliffs, out from the village, people simply get along in the fields and in houses. But it isnt charming or sweet, it simply is a life we dont see anymore.
Gharb is changing, development is on each turn in the road. Go now before its too busy. I recommend this place for stressed teachers in particular. Go to Jeffreys restaurant or the Rangers Bar for slow but perfectly formed meals and good cheap local wines!
