Travel Reviews : Golf del Sur

Review by Brian Paget from Southampton

It's a fairly quite area with some well stock shops, one them being a small british type supermarket, nice restaurants, pleasant walks and a good bus service.

Review by David Herdman from Shottery

Having spend most of our Tenerife holidays in the Costa Adeje region, staying in Golf del Sur was a first for us. We were pleasantly suprised on arrival at just how much there is there. Ok, its not Las Americas (but my clubbing days are long gone) but there are an abundance of restaurants and bars - far more upmarket than Costa Adeje. I'd say you could easily eat in a different restaurant for 2 weeks and still not get round them all! The golf courses looked great but didn't sample them first hand (this time!). There was crazy golf, a child friendly swing park, easy bus service to Cristianos and Americas for the beach and jungle park was not too far away - perfect for our 2 year old! The fishing village of Los Abrigos close by provided one of the best seafood meals I've ever eaten and the whole family were blown away with the flying food and flame spectacular at the Teppanyaki!!!! In all, a great resort and one we hope to discover more of in the future.

Review by David Chalmers from Douglas

Unfortunately caught in the Spanish building crash! There are a number of good restaurants and bars and a very lovely golf course. However, the deserted building sites gives an overall tacky feel to the area which is a shame because it has a lot to offer. Quite a few of the websties mention aircraft noise but even though it is very close to the airport this is not really a problem except it is noticaeable on change over days.

Review by Lorraine Cobley from Leicester

Golf del sur was a generally a nice resort, very quiet. Plenty of restarants to chose from and close to various theme parks & beaches if you're prepared to drive. The pool was beautiful, well maintained with lovely views, although the water was freezing at all times.

The downside was the noise from the planes landing, which went on through the night, we got use to it after a few nights.

Review by Jane Cogle from Borough Green

good place for a relaxing holiday weather is generally very good. No beaches. Good selection of reataurants catering for all tastes.

Review by graham barney from faversham

gulf del sur is convenient for people like us who do not want to drive as everything is on hand, shops, restaurants, bars etc.it is also quite peaceful

Review by member Ogden from Manchester

A mixture of friendly bars, I can highly recommend "Legends" at Green Park where the atmophere is very friendly and welcoming and superb restaurants (ask for info' at Legends" make this a vacation for all to enjoy. The location is convenient for all areas with walks and magnificent views to be experienced. A safe enviroment makes this the ideal vacation for families.

Review by Peter Herbert from Blackburn

We visit Glof del sur 2-3 times a year so are very aquainted to the area we keep going back not just because family live out there but also because it is very relaxing resort and the views are good but on the down side it is strewn with building debris and litter on any spare land and roadsides which really needs addressing if golf del sur wants to attract people back. The resort is extremely quiet at the moment and getting increasingly more so therefore don't expect the hustle and bustle of a resort like Benidorm or the like but its great to relax and unwind.

Review by Rita Shanks from Durham

We had so a relaxing and chilled out holiday. It was so friendly at the complex and the kids loved the holiday. We will be booking again as it was the perfect holiday. 10/10 for everything

Review by Andrea Rycroft from Isle of Man

A good place for a family holiday because although there are nice restaurants and a couple of bars nearby, there are no nightclubs or numerous drunk people to worry about. The area is well serviced by bus services to other towns and resorts although a car is definitely a must if you want to get the best out of the island. An evening stroll to los Abrigos is definitely recommended as the seafood restaurants there serve fantastic food. In Golf del Sur itself a visit to Pedro's is a must for a meal and the weekly Flamenco show.

Review by rachel chapman from plymouth

we hired a car from the same company in which we rented from who were continuously helpful we never had any problems, even when we had a late flight home and left our luggage at there shop in golf del sur.

we felt so welcome and that nothing was to much hassle for them.

we love going to del tiede and aqualand, a personal favorite for me is jungle park we didnt use public transport but there wa plenty of options and plenty of excursions definatley recomend this area

Review by Jean Coker from Cheadle

Golf del Sur is a quiet location on the Southern coast of Tenerife. The weather was perfect and even the occasional cool breeze was very welcoming. The location of the resort was ideal as it was centrally placed for both restaurants and shops, both within a few minutes walk. If you want to get away from the noisy nightlife of clubbing and drinking then it is the ideal place for you.

Review by NORA MATHER from ABERDEENSHIRE

Very quiet, small, friendly resort. Have visited twice this year and made many friends with the staff in restaurants and bars. Felt safe with my teenage daughter.

Review by carol hopkirk from glasgow

Family resort with a fairly good selection of restaurants. Had some lovely meals but could possibly have a little more selection when it comes to bars. There were a few that have closed (shooters 2 and irish bar). Very handy for the airport and liked the winds which blew the whole of our week (keeping temperatures more bearable).

Review by Carol Mcnicol from Inverkip

Golf del Sur is an extremely quiet area to holiday. So if you are looking for only sun bathing and golf then it is for you. It is a relaxing holiday but you can get a bit bored in the evenings so a hire car to travel slightly further afield in the evening would be recommended. The small supermarkets on site have everything you would require but are quite costly - you may be better driving to the entrance of the Golf to the larger Mercadano and stocking up there. Don't walk along the coastal path from San Blas in the evening - we made this mistake and when we reached the unfinished section of the path had a really bad experience of being swarmed by mosquitoes - just as well we were all fit enough to run. The Harbour Lights and La Marina II and the Japanese Restaurant on the sea front were the best. We ate in Harbour Lights every second night - the food and service was excellent and you can sit inside so that you are not bothered by flies.

Review by pam campbell from houghton le spring

dont forget to check out the restaurants behind the main square in san blas next to the Taboo nightclub. We would recommend Gullivers and Pate de Ora. We come to this area several times per year. If eating in the san blas squares stick to the chinese in the top square or arcadia. Avoid the restaurants at the marina, the quality is poor although the scenery is beautiful.

Review by barbara wallin from march

i love golf del sur its so relaxing.the coastal walk which i did everyday realy clears your head and makes you forget the hussle and bustle of back home.i feel my time here recharges my batteries ,destresses me , and totally relaxes me.can't wait to come back

Review by Pamela Menzies from Bathgate, West Lothian

Golf del Sur has a lovely walk, from looking down onto the sunset in the evening to walking between golf courses with lovely greens and palm trees. There are lovely restaurants to go to Mexican, Chinese, Steak House to suit whatever the mood and for each individual. It is relaxing but not far out should you also wish to visit the more lively resorts on the island.

Review by Ian Gourlay from Edinburgh

We found Golf del Sur an excellent location for a quiet family holiday. Eating out in the restaurants which are directly below the apartment was good value and decent quality. San Blas is 15 mins walk and a bit more lively there are a few squares which provide good eating and some corny entertainment. Gullivers restaurant was excellent and a must visit. I am a keen golfer and took my clubs mostly to practice. The facilities at Golf del Sur are good. I only played 27 holes which cost 125 euros for 2 people including lunch and buggies. Although I only played 1 day I used the range a lot and felt it was worth while taking my own clubs. We hired a car and getting round the island was easy. The small local supermarkets are expensive and I would recommend making the trip to the large one at the top of the resort. This was our third visit to Tenerife and definitely our favorite resort.

Review by Sonya Rock from Anglesey

We found Golf del Sur had plenty of restaurants, but hardly any bars, it was quite a walk with two small children to do the circuit and we found the taxis expensive. On the other hand the buses were cheap and frequent providing you had the knowledge of which one to catch! The resort as a whole is very clean and everyone we emcountered were friendly

Review by Carole Davies from Stevenage

Golf del Sur is the ideal place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing holiday. The bus services are good and the taxi's are reasonable if you wish to visit one of the more commercial resorts such as Christianos or Playa Americas. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Also, the added safety factor of an english speaking doctor in the town square is very reassuring. This was our third visit to Golf del Sur and it certainly will not be the last. Highly recommended!

Review by Dennis Rawle from Balderton

The apartment was like home from home, all the comforts you are used to with the added bonus of the sunshine as well. Everyone we met in the apartments was very friendly and went out of their way to make you comfortable.

The OPM in Tenerife and John and his team could not do enough for you, they arranged our collection from the airport, car hire, return journey which took the hassle and worry out of doing it yourself. When we had a problem out there the OPM sorted it very quickly for us and were very approachable when we rang them.

Review by Jill Billings from Dublin

A more exclusive area of Tenerife with some of the nicest restaurants around. Very relaxed feel and ideal for couples and families. A much better option that some of the busier resorts.

Review by denise curtis from camberley

I am not a golfer but I find golf del sur convenient for a short break as it is so close to the airport. The resort is quite safe although rather lacking in atmosphere. There aren't a huge number of restuarants or shops but enough to keep you going. As I said before the resort is convenient rather than picturesque. Not a typical holiday resort.

Review by susan fisher from edinburgh

There are numerous good restaurants to choose from and it's worth opting for the local restaurants rather than those ran by British people. There is an excellent Teppanyaki restaurant and if you've never tried this type of Japanese cooking before it's a must ! Also there are fantastic restauramts in nearby Los Abrigos,a small fishing village which you can walk to in 15 minutes. There is an excellent selection of fresh fish restaurants and a fantastic Italian. El Medano is also worth a visit and can be reached easily by local bus,car or taxi in 15 minutes. It has a lovely beach and lots of lovely little typical tavernas and tapas restaurants.

Review by visitor

The complex was lovely, there was great restaurants for eating from chinesse to Indian italian and english food great entertainment in the evenings with singers outside the restaurants, plenty of shops for shopping while relaxing having a beer or two, while the kids enjoy playing, I felt very comfortable there the people on the resorts are lovely and friendly and they make your stay there great, never short of a taxi if you want to venture to Los Americas of any other island as there always there waiting to take you wherever again lovely friendly people, I would recommend this resort it was lovely I have been there a couple of times and everytime I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Review by Sandra Pott from Beckenham

A bit more expensive on this visit - but I'm sure that was mainly due to the poor exchange rate between the euro and the pound

Review by Grainne Tallon from Bedfordshire

This is a great pace if you want to get away from the strain of everyday life in the UK. Golfing is great, and the area is quiet.

Review by Theresa Barker from Corby, Northamptonshire

Be prepared for change. If you've visited before you will notice a difference. A number of new upmarket developments, but that does of course also mean building work.

Review by Richard Mills from Norton Juxta Twycross

A lot quieter than the main Tenerife destinations.

Very windy at times, but apartments have been built with this in mind to provide shelter around pool etc...

2 major builing works in progress, but this does not impact too heavily on the resort.

On the landing path for main airport, accomodation towards entrance of golf del sur is affected by some aircraft noise, but accomodation by the coast eg: El Nautico is not.

Plenty of choice of food (20+ restaurants in San Blas alone)

Excellent fish restaurants in next village.

Review by Marcia Parker from Wakefield

The coastal walks along the beach were enjoyable and scenic. We were lucky enough to see a large group of dolpins swimming near the coastline.

Review by Joanna Seawright from Dumfries

Golf del Sur is more family orientated than the likes of Las America & Los Cris which have busy night lives. There are plenty of restaurents and a few shops. There is the new quay side on the adjoining Amarilla golf (walking distance) with a few extra restaurents.

It feels cooler than the blistering beaches of Los Cris as it usually has a pleasant sea breeze.

Review by Jill Doherty from Belfast

We loved Golf Del Sur but if you want a hooley than don't go here - choose Las Americas or Los Christianos!

If you go to Golf Del Sur you must eat in the El Marino Restaurant, (walk down from the Palms and cut throught the Winter Gardens) this is a lovely spot on, reasonably priced restaurant with friendly staff! San Blas is lovely but walk on to Los Abrigos and find some beautiful fish restaurants.

Review by Lyndon Morris from Blackburn

Golf del sur is obviously great for golfers(im not one) but even so its a nice quiet place to relax and you can feel at ease letrting the kids roam around the complexes which all seem to be quite family orientated. Doesnt seem to be much night life which is another good point but there are various restraunts and some bars. It can get a little windy in the evening, and a car is well advised for getting to and from the other resorts , makes a good base for a weeks break, two weeks might be too long for some people. Its about 10 mins drive in either direction to the airport and los cristianos and the nearest town la chafiras is great for the big supermarket and on first glance looks like a big industrial unit area but there are great bargains to be had as the majority are in fact retail units even an iceland if you miss british stuff that much!!!!

Review by Lynn Marshall from Hull

We find Golf del Sur a very quiet place to go and relax.

Review by Don Hill from Barnsley

This was our second visit to Golf Del Sur. The resort consists of apartment blocks plus a couple of hotels. It is a quiet place and visitors are mainly familes and couples, many attracted by the golf courses in the centre of the area. There is a good selection of restaurants catering for all tastes. A short walk away along the coast (quite rough underfoot in places and take a torch if you go in the evening) is the fishing village of Los Abrigos which has several fish restaurants - don't expect cheap food there.

We are not golfers, we are naturists, and the main attraction for us is the presence of the best 'clothing optional' beach on the island - La Tejita, about 4 miles away to the east.

We don't spend all our time on the beach however, and also like Golf Del Sur because it is central for touring the rest of the island. The capital city, Santa Cruz, is less than an hour's drive along the motorway and well worth a visit. A shorter distance in the other direction are Los Christianos and Los Gigantes, and Mount Teide can be reached by simply following your nose out of the resort.

An excellent place for unwinding. We shall return.

Review by Chris Clark from Wallsend

We came to Golf de Sur for a relaxing holiday, and we got it, not alot going on if you don't play golf, that said it was early March. Most everything looks purpose built, lacked character for me. A lot of building work going on, but that happens most places.

The people are very friendly both other customers and the owners of the bars and restaurants were visited, felt very welcome.

Recommend a day trip to La Gomera, a long day but excellent, this was the highlight of the holiday for me.

Review by Ann Kent from St Helier Jersey

Met some very interesting people at Winter Gardens, Golf del Sur which seemed to be primarily for anyone interested in Bowls. Everyone was very friendly and the Restaurant in the complex was very good, although like most of the restaurants in Golf del Sur they seemed to have very similar menus. In saying that though the staff were very attentive and we felt very well looked after.

Review by janice cummings from airdrie

This was our seventh time at this resort ,very relaxing quiet part of Tenerife. There is a good and varied selection of restaurants, and also nightly entertainment at San Blas. Also on the square there some good gift shops and a large supermarket.

Review by Michael Stapley from Wingham, canterbury

The Golf del Sur is an area that has on all our visits offered the opportunity to feel relaxed. Due to this we have now decided to make this the area that we wish to re-locate too.

Review by Alan Buckley from Southport

Plenty of places to eat out in San Blas village. Los Abrigos is definately worth going to of an evening for the fish restaurants where all the fish is caught the same day.

Golf Del Sur is the place to stay on Tenerife its upmarket without being snobby, I hear so many people say Tenerife is not nice because they stayed in the concrete jungle of Playa Las Americas, and never saw the real Tenerife, which is so sad.

Review by jayne ward from york

found golf de sur extremely quiet wouldnt think it would be suitable for families an awful lot of building going on, but not a lot of shops to browse in in the evenings, also not really any where to have a wander at night.

Review by Ros Ferguson from Aberdeen

A quiet area with a good selection of restaurants.

Bus service available to see other areas.

Nice walks along the coast.

Review by Annette Wilkinson from West Yorkshire

Golf de Sur is not an upmarket area but is very convenient for Airport, Golf, Walking, Bars and Restaurants. Good value for money.

Review by Frank & Ann Martin from Chorley, Lancs

The 'Wildgeese' Irish theme pub just across the street had an excellent variety of wines, beers & entertainment at pretty reasonable prices.

Review by Nadine Whiteley from Scarborough

GOOD VALUE,QUITE,FRINDLY,RELAXING,LOVELY VEIWS AND CLOSE TO RESTAURANTS WITH GOOD FOOD.

Review by Linda TURNER from Rochdale

Golf del sur is an ideal base for visitors to Tenerife who are not looking for the hustle and bustle of Los Christianos/Las Americas. Although these are very easy to reach by bus, taxi or hire car (please prebook your car hire though as we found it to be quite expensive when we got there, although it was nice to drive to mount teide). This area is very scenic and has lots to offer not just for golf lovers. There are lots of restaurants and bars, both at the commercial center san blas and down at the Marina, so you will always have something new to try. A wide veriety of cuisines are on offer to cater for all tastes. Not a good choice for beach lovers though, as the beaches are small and rocky, many of the complexes however, have fabulous swimming pools. Not recommended for 'clubbers' either as there are none. The bars stay open late though and many have live entertainment, we liked the Irish bars Grandee O'Donnels and The Wild Geese, both kept the kids occupied with pool tables and internet access. Would definately go again.

Review by Peter Widmer from Dorking

Golf del Sur - San Blas okay but needs a beach, however we always hire a car so not too much of a problem for us. Too much building going on as well.

Review by WENDY PRICE from SPILSBY

Lovely quiet are yet ideally located for shops bars and restaurants.

Review by Arthur Riley from Portadown, Co.Armagh

If you like the hustle and bustle of a lively resort, don't go to Golf del Sur. Golf del Sur is made up of several blocks of self catering apartments and village type complexes of apartments mostly privately owned, and a centrally located shopping area, San Blas, with most types of shopping available. There are quite a variety of restaurants within easy walking distance from anywhere in Golf del Sur, Mexican, Chinese, Fast food etc.

It would be advisable to hire a car if you think you want to go further afield, but the roads can be very busy especially around main resorts and can be rather daunting to negotiate.

It is possible to walk along the beach front to the little town of Los Abrigos which is a typically spanish village with gorgeous food in a variety of restaurants.

Review by paul cassidy from hull

a friendly place very relaxing not much to do but we knew that no good for families with youg ones ideal for us unwinding we would definatly come back again

Review by visitor

Very unexpectedly unlike Tenerife - this is definitely a good thing

Review by Richard Jacobs from Shawell

Golf del Sur is purely a holiday area so not very canarian if that is what you want. It is more up market than Los Americas and quieter too (except for the Aircraft which being as it is 10 minutes from the airport is to be expected).

Review by William Loomes from Derby

Most important, the weather was unbelievable, the place seems to have a micro climate in that clouds were sometimes visible all around but blue sky above, swimming every day never ever cold during the 11 days we were there. Loved it.

Review by Susan Bell from Dudley

We found Golf del Sur a relaxing holiday, we did venture up to the Americas a couple of times but were quite happy to return to the area.

Although we were worried about the proximity to the Airport, this turned out to be unfounded, the noise is mimminal.

Review by Sheila Tyson from Wakefield

If you want to just relax and unwind then this is the resort for you. It could certainly do with a few more shops and a good beach and I understand that they have been granted planning permission to go ahead with a beach. I look forward to that as it will make a great difference and open the resort to families.

The weather is lovely as there is usually a breeze which makes the heat much more comfortable. We were there in December and it was 24 deg most of the time.

If you are visiting Mount Teide, even though you are not actually going up the mountain, take a jacket. It is unbelieveable how much colder it is up there. It can be lovely and hot on the south coast and snowing, raining and a thunderstorm up there.

We enjoyed eating at Cloe's and the Oasis on the Fairway and The Great Wall chinease restaurant and Big Als were brilliant value and very tasty.

Review by alan hamilton from GLASGOW

We have been coming to golf del sur for 12 years and found it to be a friendly and relaxing place to come to, if we want busier nights or different restaraunts los americas, christianos is only fifteen minutes away.

Review by Hugh O'Neill from Newry

Excellent location for golf even if the planes are a little distracting.

Review by Fern Ravandi from London

If you don't know the resort of Golf Del Sur, regardless of where you stay, I can heartily recommend it. It's a very pretty resort on the south coast of Tenerife only 10 minutes drive from the airport. It has all the facilities you would expect from a high quality holiday resort with some really nice bars and restaurants too!

The resort centre, otherwise known as 'San Blas' consists of 3 picturesque squares each containing good quality bars, restaurants (many with evening entertainment), boutiques and a night club. At the other end of the resort, next to the new marina, you will find a very pretty sea front promenade full of restaurants where you can dine 'al fresco' overlooking the sea. The nearby Spanish village of Los Abrigos is just a 5 minute taxi ride and here is a small fishing port, full of some of the best fresh fish restaurants on the island.

Review by Rene HENSHALL from Sale

This is the first time we have ever booked an apartment and not a hotel, We chose the perfect company while not only was the price paid perfect the service was great.

Everything was taken care of, from the emails sent to comfirm what to do.. The pickup at the airport and drop off...thanks Rene

Review by anna cairns from ballater

Golf del sur was a good destination for a relaxing, family holiday. It was not too busy but with things to do. It was residential and a wee bit upmarket, not heaving and tacky. A bit difficult for wheelchairs and hilly in places. Not loads of shops but enough. Its on the flight path so it can be noisy but we got used to it. Transport to the resorts and excursions available.

Review by victor coles from angmering

As with much of tenerife overbuilding is a problem and the roads are suffering - getting out of golf del sur is often a painful process, however it is still worth the effort and no matter what we enjoyed it and will no doubt return

Review by jeannette meldrum from kincraig

Grat resort for golfers and for those who want a relaxing holiday without too many children around.

Review by Susan Wood from Cork

One hears so much about crime, noise and unacceptable behaviour in holiday resorts nowadays, that it is wonderful to find a place like Golf del Sur where the sun shines almost every day, even in winter, and it is possible to go out day or night and be safe. There is much to do and see by day in the resort and nearby, and plenty of night time entertainment if/when one wants it. It is a golfer's paradise, but is equally suited to family holidays, or for couples of any age who want some time to themselves. It is possible to go out every night or stay in and chill out with a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the open Atlantic: the choice is yours! We hope to return next year.

Review by IAN TRAVERS from WINSFORD CHESHIRE

quite area above or below the flight path.new build going up and new inferstructure in process.near to everything without the busyness of las americas or los christianos.situauted near los abrigos and las callettas both grea because they all talk spanish and its fun trying to order food.no yobs safe area at night.

need a car to get to golf and cheaper food shops but netto not mega bucks.eateries come and go each time we do but always somthing nice in san blas or the golf oneway system.fantastic place to walk ,sunbathe and relax we love it.

Review by Ian Wilkins from Moreton, Wirral

Golf del Sur, in my opinion is one of the nicest parts of the whole of Tenerife. There is plenty to do and there are loads of places to eat and drink, as well as having a reasonably priced supermarket for all your grocery needs.

Review by visitor

Our only problem with Gulf Del Sur was the lack of a sandy beach. We had to get taxi's to Los Cristianos to use the beach there.

Review by Michael Stapley from Canterbury

We have returned to the Golf del Sur on numerous occasions and we can honestly say we never get bored with the area. The local atmosphere around our hotel and at Sand Blas Square gives you a feeling of being among friends. Restaurants offer variety we found that breakfast, lunch and dinner did not have to be the same on any day. At all the staff may you feel welcome and gave excellent service. We would recommend Bar Verdi and Gullivers be visited. Spread you wings and visit Los Abrigos and other small villages and you can experience the Tenerife culture.

Review by Gordon Thomson from Wakefield

lots of building going on. Golf del Sur is a quiet place but has easy access to the nearby livelier resorts with good local bus service. Plenty of good restaurants to choose from but everything a bit more expensive than the busier resorts.

Review by Debbie Hardy from Morpeth

Golf Del Sur is a lovely up and coming resort. It is a quiet resort with a handful of bars and restaurants, just enough for a short stay and not too much compared to its neighbours. Some of the restaurant prices were on the pricey side however this is to be expected in a more upper class resort where every other restaurant is not your typical "Full ENglish Breakfast for £2"

Bad points, it is directly under the flight path and the noise from the planes can be offputting also if you take the time to drive round of the resort some of it is looking a little tired, other parts are being heavily developed.

All in all a good quiet holiday destination ideal for couples and families.

Review by Christopher Rainey from Doncaster

A quiet resort with a few small shopping/restaurant areas. 10 minutes from the airport and there are always a fleet of taxis outside for those like me making their own transport arrangements. Live entertainment was provided nightly in the Restaurant area near where we stayed and is generally singers covering 60's/70's easy listening type of music which would not appeal to young people to be honest. There are 3 small Restaurant areas in this resort and the food is excellent. This resort is suited to those wanting a quiet holiday either by the pool or in their villa reading etc., there is little entertainment/activities for children. A lot of villa owners are British and many of the Restaurants and bars are owned by Brits which does have it's advantages. Cars are much cheaper to rent in Playas Des Americas (forgive my spelling), approx 30 Euro saving over two day hire. I enjoyed my stay here as the Playas and los Cristianos are only 10 minutes away by car and the resort is quiet.

Review by Joseph McKerns from Glasgow

This is a very quiet area and is on the flight path to the airport. It was small enough to walk around. There did not seem to be a great variety of bars or restauraunts though those there were fine. The area does not have a beach and seems to be growing constantly.

In all a nice place but just a bit too quiet.

Review by janice cummings from airdrie

if you are looking for a relaxing holiday ,then choose golf de sur .Very quiet resort near the airport.Excellent mix of restaurants in San Blas square as well as a good selection of shops. There is also a very reliable bus service to the other resorts in tenerife. We can`t wait to go back .

Review by Pat Costigan from Ilford

Only down side is the continual building work/roadwork Also one of the golf courses was closed and being redesigned. We have been going to golf del sur since 1994 and the building work never seems to end.

Review by kyla worrell from chatham

Golf Del Sur is still as lovely as the first time we visited about five years ago. The people are friendly and helpful and the restaurants in the top square at San Blas were lovely and good value for money, the entertainment was also good.

Review by jean mcmanus from Glasgow

this is the sixth time we have been to the palms on the golf del sur and we have enjoyed it every time, it has some lovely restaurants,it is never crowded, quite quiet, not really suitable for young lively people, unless they went into las americas at night it is not all older people as we are aged 45 to 50 and there are a lot of people a lot younger than us who come back year after year.

Review by William Kennerley from Newton-le-Willows

Golf del Sur has cetainly been built up these last few years which means there are more restaurants, which were needed, and supermarkets. What you have to take into consideration if you stay at this end of the island is the aircraft noise as it can be very noisy in some of the complexes. Down near the Santa Barbara is not too bad but near the Gold del Sur golf links you will get more noise.

Review by Jonathan Stephenson from Kendal
