We have just spent a lovely 6 days days at this appartment, first thing i have to say is how clean it was and i mean spotless. It is a real home from home with pretty much everything you need for a self catering holiday. My husband and i stayed the first week in Sept with 2 of our children aged 11 & 16 and the weather was glorious, the roof terrace is a great bonus to this property as it has a wonderful view but also provides a cooling breeze. The appartment is a little out of the way if you are intending on walking but we hired a car so it was a only a couple of mins to the beach. There is a great little supermarket very near by, and fantastic and i mean fantastic resteraunts within a 2 min walk from the appartment. We can highly recommend the ones nearest to the apprtment for price, service and quality of food. Angela the lady that greeted us at the appt was so very helpful and genuinley cared that we were ok, Thank you Angela. All in all this is great little spot and the 1 and only down side was that there was no air con, we did know this befor we booked and this is reflected in the price, we did climatise after a few days and it was particularly hot this year. I have to say we felt so very safe a secure here, the apparment has great security. We loved our stay, it suited us very well for what we wanted, a lovely relaxing few days in the sun.

Gran Alacant is a nice place that is well spread out. There is a local train that runs around the village but it takes so long it is quicker to walk. We travelled as a group of 5 girls (28 - 35), we enjoyed relaxing time. Don't expect everything on your doorstep, you will need to walk a lot to various shops, supermarkets, bars and restaraunts etc, taxi's are expensive.
Alicante is 15 minutes away 20Eur in a taxi (each way). If you want chilled, no stress, no fuss, interaction with others when you choose this is the place.

Because the night life apears to be limited, in my opinion Alicant would be more suitable to the older holiday makers.

We were pleasantly surprised about the area. Bars and restaurants plentiful, with a good variety to suit all tastes, and maintaining a Spanish feel.

Gran Alacant is a superbb holiday destination. It is very close to the airport (no noise though) and close to the beach. You dont need a car as there is a good bus service in the resort. The restraunts are great witha wide variety of dining styles.
Give it a try - we were really (plesently) suprised just how good the area is

We found it a bit frustrating how far it was to walk between each group of shops/restaurants. Definitely need a hire car for a stay in Gran Alacant. Its a bit out on a limb, and not really enough going on for our liking. Too quiet!!
