The Alhambra smiles majestically down upon the magical city of Granada. Whilst a trip there is a must, there is so much more to this city. For example, the narrow winding streets of the of the Albaicin and the wonderful squares containing traditional Tapas bars. Frequently musicians play as you sip Rioja and observe this most colourful locality. If you are lucky, you may chance upon some real flamenco, not that just set up for tourists and then your experience, I promise you, will be sublime. Granada does have some rough edges, for example, some of the less travelled back streets of the Albaicin, however, this can add to your experience. With The Alhambra, wonderful turkish baths, the summer house of the poet Lorca, a good shopping centre, the caves of Sacromonte, stunning views and an excellent and cheap public transport system, I defy you not to be seduced by her poetic charms!
