A great place for an active family summer holiday - with as much or as little as you want to do! Plenty of tourist information, the Jungraubahn train ticket is a must. The shops are a bit "samey" if you need shopping and Interlaaken is barely worth the half hour trip on the train - apart from the views of the lakes and mountains. WIth the current state of sterling, you have to be prepared to part with cash for food and drink - but if you're not prepared to do that on your annual holiday....well...!!!!!

We found Grindalwald to be a great place to take our children (6 and 9). The town was welcoming and there was a lovely selection of shops - both useful and for tourists. the location of the town is stunning and if you get to go up into the mountains it is even more amazing. There are parks for the children in the town which are clean and well kept - as are the toiulets!
The trip to Jungfraujoch is "awesome" and well worth the money, especially if you get the children's rail passes.
A beautiful, unspoilt location!
