Gundogan is a small town with a nucleus of shops and restaurants, centered along the seafront and central car-park, next to the Migros supermarket.  One can find pretty-much everything one requires in the way of self-catering needs in the town, and the promenade make for a very pleasant evening stroll from end to end.
The majority of restaurants are grouped at one end of the Prom, and make for a pleasant dining experience - with outside and beach-side tables to be enjoyed in the balmy night air, however, the standard of dining is adequate, as opposed to haute cuisine!
We searched the town for watersport activities, but could only find one sailing school and one banana-boat/ringo/jetski operator, both of which were exceedingly expensive (although the prices were also dear in the neighbouring towns).  There were no boat-hire operators for qualified a helmsman, nor kayak-hire nor wind-surfing hire operators.  Only the standard, boat-trip operators on the traditional Gullet-style boats were available for those who enjoy a package of tour, swim and lunch provided.
On the whole, the town is set in a pretty bay, with a plethora of activity to engage the viewer at sea -  from fishing boats to private yachts and gin-palaces!  The sunsets are stunning and the bright, sunny, summer days seem to be enjoyed by all, old and young, from sandcastles on the beach to well-chilled cocktails under colourful umbrellas.

The people who live in Gundogan are some of the nicest people i have met.

Gundogan is surrounded by many, many villas, but still manages to be very scenic. The blue flag beach is shingly sand, and is backed by lots of excellent, affordable, waterfront restaurants (and one tumbledown old farm!). At night you can dine on candlelit jetties over the sea. Boats take day trips for swimming and sunbathing. The visitors are mostly Turkish, and a little upmarket, which makes Gundogan a bit quieter and gives the place a more local flavour. Most places speak a little English, but take a phrasebook. Worth a visit just for the sweet and savoury delights of the large bakery (next to the Migros).

Gundogan is a gem of Turkey's tourism resorts. Unspoilt, yet with all you need for a great relaxing holiday.

Gundogan is a little fishing village although it is expanding all the time. Gundogan village itself is leval and easy to walk, but it is surrounded by hills. The little harbour with its boats and water front cafe/restaraunts is very peacefull. Gundogan has a couple of little supermarkets and an array of shops, cafes and coffe shops. All owners and workers of shops, cafes/resturants and boat tours were very helpfull and welcoming.
