Central for the theme parks, flea markets, Wal-Mart, Ponderosa,handy for the I 4 interstate.Plenty of good houses & villa's to rent for a nice quiet holiday.

Kissimmee is a very busy, town, geared towards all age groups, particularly at the Walt Disney Resorts. The restaurants are varied in their menus, over generous with their portions and very reasonably priced. A family of 6 could eat for $40 to $60 dollars in Dec 08'.

Kissimmee is located on the outskirts of Orlando. There are numerous restaurants and shops along Highway 192 which is the road leading to Liberty Village from Disney World. There are many more restaurants on International Drive, leading into Orlando. One of our favourites was Bahama Breeze, serving Caribbean style food and wonderful cocktails. There are plenty others to choose from however. Kissimmee is most useful as a base for visiting the numerous attractions in the Orlando area. Disney World is about a fifteen minute drive from Liberty Village, and Universal is slightly further but still within easy reach.

Great for Theme Parks and Shopping, but can be quite busy in peak times. You always think about the parks being busy but everywhere was!

Excellent value for the money. The home was beautiful and well maintained with a private pool and Jacuzzi. The location was perfect - a quiet residential area. All theme parks and attractions were easily accessible. My family enjoyed our vacation and I will definitely book another vacation rental property in Kissimmee!!

kissimmee is an excellent location if you want to explore the greater orlando area. i used to stay with my husbands family in st.cloud before my husband left me and was now looking for a new base in florida. this location combined everything i wanted: a beautiful, well equipped home in a nice neighborhood, about ten min. by car from I4 - normal to heavy traffic- which takes you just about everywhere you wonna go. we did not go out in kissimmee but always drove to orlando...or just enjoyed the gas grill on our deck...and all the goodies we bought at the nearby Publix. For beach we went to Melbourne/Indialantic...and that's pretty, too, and easy to reach - quite a drive though....

I have stayed in this area several times in the past and have noticed it growing, unfortunately so does crime. I was very happy to see a huge police presence. This I am sure will help deter the would be criminal. With so much to offer off I-4, it is a great place to stay and fun place for miniature golf, shopping and an excellent choices for really good food. I will definetly be back! Keep your area safe and the tourists will come. So much to see and do!

we live in a quiet, beautiful rural upstate New York location, so the crowds and traffic are not comffortable for us, but we love the Disney experience. Just make sure you have realistic expectations and you won't be disappointed.

When first reading the review of Kissimmee and reading the words quiet and crowded as descriptors, one may think how is this so? Well, in Kissimmee, you are close enough to the main attractions (Disney, Sea World, Orlando) to drive daily but far enough to stay away and enjoy the peace and the Florida weather if you choose.
