When I travel, I like to experience countries as the locals might. Koskinou is charming and far removed from any tourist traps. You get a taste of what the real Greece is like. It's close enough to other places, including the spa at Kalithea which is stunning. If you are wanting a place away from the crowds, then Koskinou is a place to try

koskinou, that is the old village of Koskinou, is a very atmospheric village. big enough to make nice evening walks all arounda and be away for an hour. the village is exactly what you expect when you come to Greece, narrow streets being a labyrinth, mosaic pebbles everywhere on the streets. old aged people sitting in front of their porch chatting and debating. very laid back pace and atmosphere, forcing you to take things slow and to go with the flow, realizing that that is the reason why we all love greece, for the lack of ratrace. we don't want the stress, and there in the village of Koskinou that is what you do, you unwind from your stressed life at home. fantastic village, fantastic people. Can't really comment in depth on Koskinou. The property we stayed at was 5 km away and we did not visit Koskinou, just drove through.
