Review by Sharon Andrews from Bristol

A lot of development work going on

Review by Jessica De Jager from Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

There are plenty of supermarkets and beaches within a 10 -15 min drive. There is a small shopping centre with a choice of retaurants not far a way. What let it down for me was how touristy it was and the expense of the food ... eating out and especially the supermarkets.

We find a good water park called Aquapolis, which was a 10 minute drive away but it was very expensive. We also went on a boat trip at the marina in Torrevieja but that was 20 euros for a 30 minute cruise. I expect to pay on holiday but I felt that tourists were being exploited and the prices were outrageous.

We found the heat too much with a three old and I was 5 months pregnant. If you like beaches and don't mind them being packed (we did go in August) then it would be ok.

Hi All,

If you want an interesting vacation then go to surroundings of Torrevieja. There is so much to do. Beach, mountains historic places, sun, shopping, night life etc. We used to go to tenerife, but because Torrevieja has almost the same benefits and the flights are much cheaper, we now go to this place. There are more nice apartments and restaurants then people, so you can get cheap and good apartments and food. You can do without a car, but if you want to see interesting things then a car is a must (they are also cheap).

La Cinuelica is a family destination and there are bars and restaurants within 15-20 minute walking distance although on a hot day this does seem a lot further. A car makes it very accessible to Torrevieja and also the lovely beaches along the coast.

Peaceful urbanization yet still close to all you could need
