La Mata is a very nice place to visit if you simply would like a nice relaxing holiday for anyone. It is quite a residential place we found but that was one of the nice things about it, there weren't too many 'tourists' so it still has a very nice spanish feel to it. And there is a very very nice restaurant called the Argentian Steak House(?) on the beach, the food is amazing and very good value!!

La Mata blue flag beach is fantastic for families with play area, lifeguards, beautiful beach and lovely warm sea to swim in. There are public toilet facilities available and lots of bars and kiosks for newspapers, drinks and toys for the children! There is also a long boardwalk for a stroll if you get restless!

The beach in la mata is a very Spanish beach. it is very welcoming and the people we met were always friendly. a good beach and lots of adventure!!

La Mata is a nice little town for a quiet vacation. It has the advantage of a big, beautiful clean beach with a nice breeze when it is very hot. There is a weekly market and the links for the buses to other destinations in the area is very good and very cheap. Some parts are a little bit hilly if you are not used to it but the centre and promenade is easy for walking. It has all the shops you would need for a holiday including a post office.
