Lindfields is an excellent area to stay if you wish to visit Disney. It is a quiet area but with good access to shops and places to eat. I would not stay in any other area of Orlando now.

Lindfields is a very well kept maintained estate. The houses are all well looked after and the grounds are kept immaculate.Lindfileds is not too far away from Disney and the main drag of the 192. The I-4 is the main highway to all the other theme parks and to the west onto Tampa. There is plenty of shopping near by and doubt that anyone would not find something they were looking for.
Supermarkets are a few minutes by car in either direction on the 192.
There is a bnak that will exchange your home country currency if you want. The Mercantile Bank is a stone throw out from Lindfields, east on the 192 on your left after the turning on your your left for Publix...supermarket chain like Sainsbury's and Tesco's.
It is very difficult to chain currancy in the USA. The only other place I found was ofcourse at the airport and THE FLORIDA MALL.
Always carry ID with you as you will be asked on a number of occasions when using credit or debit cards.
In one supermarket there is a notice..ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 40 WILL BE ASKED FOR ID WHEN PURCHASING ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TELLER.
