The two nearest airports are Mucia (7km from Polaris World) or ALicante (100km from Polaris World). Either airport is very easy to get to and form, Murcia is a 10 minute drive and Alicante is 45 minutes up the AP7 motorway, which is a toll road costing 6 Euros.
An excellent location for a family holiday or a long weekend away during the winter. There is loads to do, both on site and in the surrounding area. On site there is a 9 (soon to be 18) hole golf course, but you do need a handicap certificate of 36 or less to play on the course. The driving range, club pro's and golf lessons are top draw.
There is a Sports Bar and an Irish Bar on site with live music most nights. All staff on site speak English and the bar staff work extremely hard to ensure under 18's are not served alcohol in the bars.
There is also a gym on site, which is free and a kids club for the younger members of your party. On a practicle note their is an on site are the shop, which sells just about anything and is good value for money, secondly there is a travel agent where you can arrange anything form sailing or horse back riding round the Mar Menor to four day trips to Vallencia, all of which are excellent value for money.
The villas are well spaced out, ensuring that all residents have privacy in their gardens. There is air conditioning throughout all villas and the ability to close window shutters to keep out the direct sunlight during the day if you fancy a siesta.
Torre pacecho is only 5km away, with its pristine sandy beaches, 5km of sea front promonade and high quality traditional restaurants. Cartegena is less than 20km south and has a very cosmopolitan feel with department stores and an abundance of Roman and contemporayr history to discover.
The area around the mar Menor, in which Polaris World is located, is where the Spanish go on holiday, quite frankly you need no more recommendation than that. It is not your typical over commercialised and spoilt tourist area. You do need to be able to speak a little Spanish to get by, but everyone we met whilst there was really friendly and helpful.
